Will Thorax Get Another Episode?

Introducing a new character brings a lot more opportunities. So with that in mind, would it be possible for Thorax to get another episode? I've got a few ideas on how they could do it, but I think one of the most likely possibilities is them trying to teach the lesson of overcoming bad habits. With Changelings needing to feed off others' love, it's easy for Thorax to accidently let loose and attack some of the Crystal Ponies.

Sure, but I doubt he'll be around again for a while. What would a changeling feed off instead of love though?

I am not sure if he will get his own episode, but I am fairly certain he will make another appearance in the finale. I think he will actually have a huge role in that one. I personally would love to see him again before that though. Seeing him in at least one more Slice of Life style episode would be very nice.

Hmm... not sure. Although, Thorax does say that he wants to "Share" love. His entire story raises a lot of questions about Changelings that I hope will get answered in the future. If Changelings feed off love, that would mean they can't produce it. That would mean ponies have a "special magic" that allows them to use love as a power or energy that is only transmittable through friendship. Even so, the only way we've seen Love immensely being used would be in the Season 2 Finale. That would mean Thorax would have to either:

 

A: Befriend the entire Crystal Kingdom and have citywide meetups

B: Scalp the crystal ponies for their love

C: Somehow tap into the Crystal Heart

or D: Get a marefriend. 

 

Either way, I really hope they come forth with answers. 

 

Speaking of Season 6 Finale, don't certain insects have a "tracking" instinct? Where if one of the bugs loses their way or something were to happen to them, the others would be alerted or know of their location? Wouldn't this mean the entire Changeling species would know where Thorax is currently residing?

They're some good ideas.

Onto the tracking part, Didn't he say he ran away shortly after the wedding invasion? If so, surely his fellow changelings would have come for him by now. Meaning that the tracking thing doesn't work in Changelings, the Changelings don't care about one missing, or the Crystal Empire has some spell that repels these trackers. The last one could be the base of an episode, I guess.

Thorax Mega-Evolution confirmed. That'd make a pretty sweet season finale, though, that would leave the Crystal Kingdom completely defenceless to the snowstorms that conveniently blow through there.

Instead of stealing love one pony has from another pony (by becoming the pony in question) like the Changellings do, Thorax wants to try creating love by himself. If we look at "A Canterlot wedding" we can see that Chrysalis was feeding of the love Shining Armor felt for Cadance. But if a Changeling is love by someone else, it means the Changeling can feed of the love someone feel for himself.

 

By being friends (or lovers) with ponies or with other Changelings, they could potentielly create love and feeding themselves with that love they created. It's not very complicated ^^

 

... I don't think we will see Thorax again.

Maybe a little cameo when they will comeback in the Crystal Empire, the M6 with Shining Amor, Flurry Heart and Cadance, Starlight with Sunburst, and Spike having fun with Thorax during this time... But not in a big role as in the episode ^^

I bet, yes! Even if it will be not fullfledged episode we should know how he is doing in the future )

And if we will lucky we will see return of The Queen.

I assume he'll appear in the finale when Queen Chrysalis invades with her Changeling army.

 

Even more so, one of her guards will pull a FN-2199 and call out Thorax as a Traitor.  A reference to The Force Awakens.

Otherwise, The Times They Are A Changeling would've been kind of, you know, pointless.

 

And a surefire way to lose viewers is to retcon milestones into pointlessness.

I assume that he will appear again in the finale, and that he will help stop Chrysalis.
