If Flutterponies existed in g4, would they overpower the mane 6?

In g1, Flutterponies were insanely op- being more powerful than the Rainbow of Light, which took out Tirek, but lost to the Smooze when it wasn't at full power (without the "Floom" added to it). Yet Flutterponies were able to defeat the Smooze while it had been at full strength, and free the rainbow from it. So if Flutterponies were incorporated into g4, do you guys think that this op fairy race of ponies would also make the EoH and the Mane 6's element spirit rainbow powers an absolute joke?

I haven't seen G1, so I don't really have all the too much of a clue to how this would work out.

But if they are that powerful, than they would probably be nerfed if added to the show.

Gen 1 unicorn magic was pretty weak sauce, that's why they always needed megan and the rainbow of light to save them. compaired to now where they can do pretty much anything with it.

the bulk of flutterpony magic is the utter flutter strong magic wind so i'm not sure how effective the utter flutter would be.

Maybe, but they wouldn't really need to. The Utter Flutter is pretty OP, but get their wings wet and they're grounded till they dry.

I don't think it should be a matter of NEED, but just appreciated throwbacks to prior gens- just like Tirek, Scorpan, breezies...

 

Yeah, there's the whole wet wings deal, so it's not like they're op and invincible..they have that weakness that can be exploited....
