What do you think the Equestria Girls 5 plot will be?

Spoilers because this thread will discuss events from LOE since it's pertinent to the upcoming 5th movie (if one happens... which I think is pretty assured )

 

 

Anyways, what do you think will happen in the fifth movie? The stinger of Legend of everfree is that the portals from FG weren't fully closed and magic's still leaking through into canterlot high, and the mane six have EOH necklaces now that give them magical super abilities that are controllable, comparable to how it was just random crapshoots previously to get their magic to work.

Seriously though, I'm expecting us to see Human Sunset at some point. As for the school related event, I can't think of anything but graduation at this point

 

I'm sure people can think of better ideas than I can though, there's a lot they can do with Equestrian magic escaping on top of expanding the mane 7's super heroes

Someone on Twitter revealed future Hasbro Studios projects, which included EQG 5. So, a 5th EQG film is confirmed.

The thing about graduation though is that hasbro wants to aim this series 100% at the kids, not us, for toy sales.

And high schoolers are generally what kids look at as being super cool, not college students: its why the power rangers were teens after all.

I would LOVE for them to increase the show from being y to y7 to be a little darker, but I don't think it'll get changed anytime soon, sadly

Approached by The Dazzlings, they tell her an untruthful account of what has been happening and how she can stop a magical catastrophe from happening.

 

Using Equestrian magical energy captured by a device of her own devising, with the Dazzlings knowledge of the occult, she uses her genius to correlate data and such and discovers a second kind of magical energy, Human world magic, and is eventually lead to the Lost City of Atlantis, where the Dazzlings hope to regain their powers(and more) by stealing a lost mystical artefact of Human make. Assembling a crack team of specialists consisting of herself, her best friend Starlight Glimmer(mission coordinator), Professor Whoves Time-Turner, Daring-Do, and possibly some new characters, along with her newest recruits the Dazzlings, they race the Mane 7 to Atlantis. Human Shimmer seizes the artefact for herself and turns on the Dazzlings, knowing they were going to turn on her.

It'd be interesting if they did a plot about the seven getting ready to graduate and fearing that they'd all drift apart after high school, and tackle the subject of the seven having to find a way to rekindle their friendship even stronger to tackle the threat of leaked magic (Such as the equestrian magic was causing people with negative emotions to transform into demons ala witches from Madoka) while also questioning if they'll be able to still have a "normal" life and job if they stick to magical girl shenanigans.

 

 

Like Digimon adventure tri, yeah? Where the kids from digimon adventure suddenly find themselves having hit walls in life of realizing they still need to get jobs, and at the same time finding themselves questioning if they can keep fighting monsters without becoming hobos more or less.

I don't think the characters will graduate next film even though they should. I recall seeing several sources claiming that EQG was going to have 6 installments. I'd personally love if Hasbro was ballzy enough to have the characters graduate into college, even moreso if not the entire cast goes and graduates and we just follow part of the original cast into college.

Well, any teen stuff that happens would be before and then during the journey to stop Human Shimmer. I envision the pacing of the movie as thus.

 

1. Introduction and teen stuff, possibly during Summer vacation, maybe show us where Sunset Shimmer has been living and how. What did she do when she first arrived in the Human world?

 

2. Salvage the coffee shop scene with Princess Twilight and Pony Shimmer

 

3. Pony Shimmer reads about Human Shimmer in News Paper and is amazed

 

4. Scene with Dazzlings plotting with Hydia and outlining their mission

 

5. Dazzlings team up with Human Shimmer

 

6. Mane 7 are summoned by Zecora and tasked with stopping Human Shimmer

 

7. Journey to catch up with Human Shimmer ensues. Possibly meet Discord on the way or maybe he is at destination all ready

 

8. Everyone shows up at Atlantis

 

9. Dazzlings get their powers back but are double-crossed by Human Shimmer.

 

10. Battle between Mane 7 and Dazzlings vs Human Shimmer.

 

As for Science and Technology, yeah I'd enjoy that as well. I am most interested in seeing a distinction between the disparity of tech levels between the more advanced Human world and Equestria and how Pony Shimmer is interested in it. It's like the shorts/films forgets she is actually a Pony from another world sometimes.

 

But I am also interested in letting Equestria Girls have it's own Magic and stepping out of Equestria's shadow. What I would do is, since Equestria is themed around Greek myth, theme the Human world's magic around English/European Fae Myth.

I am assuming that with all of the things that happened in FG, it would have been too cluttered and wouldn't have received enough attention.

But I don't know why they couldn't have had LOE be about that, when it looks like it is going to be about Sci-Twi dealing with the after effects of becoming a demon.

I guess they could always go back to this if there were to be a 5 movie or TV series or mini series.

If there were to be a 5th movie than they could have the cast graduate high school and have Sunset's homesickness tie in nicely to that.

Graduation would be a neat idea. Other than that, I can't really think of anything.

I think and hope EQG 5 will follow the Reflections arc of the comics and that the worlds begin to merge. In the end, Sunset will have to go back to Equestria to stop the merging of the worlds. Human Sunset might be the antagonist to form the final mirror between EQG 1 and the last one, just like the other movies have shown mirror elements.

I'm still one of those guys stuck on the idea that at some point, the real world and Equestria are going to be fused together because someone was tampering with the portal and that it's up to the Humane 7 and the Mane 6 to fix it. I think that would be a really really cool plot, but I think that would be the final EQG movie.

 

But with the hint dropped at the end of LoE about the statue, clearly the next movie will have to do with the portal itself.
