Travis Barker from blink-182. They are the only drummers that I actually know by name, haha.

Travis Barker is really good, but doesn't exactly play what I enjoy more. I honestly prefer the first drummer Blink had on their first album: Dude Ranch.

Neil Peart (Rush),

Yes Neil Peart. He is incredible. The only reason I would stand to listen to Rush's music. I do not like Rush, mainly because I do not like the vocals. But the instrumentation is awesome!

Oh, you're talking about Scott Raynor. Yeah, he had a different style than Travis. He seemed like he was more about speed if that makes sense.

Well it has nothing to do with speed really. Travis can play fast. Playing fast is not hard. It's about how they play.

When it comes to pop punk I prefer when drummers use the hardcore punk drum approach. It sounds magnificent.

Listen? I've already seen half of them live!

Ah cool.

Never heard of a few of them so thought you were just listing every band each drummer has been in. (Cactus, Winery Dogs, KillDevil Hill)

And some of the others I do know about I never really met anyone who knows about the band let alone the drummers.

I mean, there's always the obvious like Bonham and Ward, but there's two that are lesser known (okay maybe not the first) that I'm a really big fan of.

DAVE GROHL

For some reason that continues to escape me, I cannot stand the Foo Fighters yet I feel like anything this man drums on turns to gold. He's most well known for bashing the sticks in Nirvana, however he's also drummed for the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Lemmy, and, my personal favorite, Queens Of The Stone age. He also played drums in Them Crooked Vultures, a supergroup consisting of him on drums, Josh Homme of the previously mentioned Queens Of The Stone Age, and even more notably John Paul Jones on Bass.

Quick note: the guy on vocals here is actually Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees himself.

JON THEODORE

The label "Modern day Bonham" gets tossed around a ton, but I'd argue that nobody is more deserving of the label than Jon Theodore. He's most famous for his work with The Mars Volta, a Prog Rock band formed in 2001, and has more recently become the touring drummer for the aforementioned Queens Of The Stone Age. What sets him apart from all the other modern day bonzos is his jazzy, technical playing style. He himself said that he grew up listening to Hatian folk music played by his dad, and that the drum beats from there really left a mark on his playing style, which is very noticeable in any TMV record with him on it.

Not really a fan of Dave Grohl's orginal drumming for Nirvana. Kinda basic and boring. Kinda the reason why I don't like Nirvana because they are kinda basic and boring to me. The lyrics are awesome tho. I also do like "In Bloom" but besides that not a fan whatsoever.

Jon is pretty awesome

okidokiloki

couldn't find it in a proper quality, but you get the point.

The song includes guest collaboration from Dave Grohl, on drums.

p.s. strange that no one mentioned Lars Ulrich and Joey Jordison...

That was pretty cool, but like I said his DRUMMING FOR NIRVANA is boring and basic. Idk about the work he does outside of that.
