haha, looking forward to this! Winona's shit eating grin was good for a laugh, and I really liked gummy in this. plus the notes were kind of funny.

Nice to get one to look forward to after last week's stinker.

Something must have changed in the story planning in the last part of this season. There was a long dry spell where Spike basically no longer showed no interest in Rarity (and actually seemed more enamored with Starlight), and now suddenly it feels like it's season 1 all over again in how he's pining away for her almost every chance he gets.

 

For the love of Celestia, Spike - I know how you feel, but you've gotta ask her out to dinner so she can either say yes or reject you so you can move on! Poor little dragon... :(

Maybe perhaps the Fox bros aren't looking into much on some of the character development that's been happening on the show. It would explain it if Starlight doesn't appear, which I'm kinda sure she isn't in this episode.

 

No biggie! I like Starlight, but Twilight needs an episode to herself without her.

I'm excited for this episode also love how Winona and Gummy are shown again.

 

I did get a laugh out of the purring sound Gummy was making while he licked at the roll! XD

 

Plus I forgot to mention it was amusing to see Spike try to pet Opalescence and then think better of it. That was a cute bit of extra animation they did that wasn't necessary but was a nice touch.

 

BTW Spike - that rubbing move she just did - I think she pretty much thinks of you as one of her possessions now! XD

Even then Gift of Maud Pie wasn't a spectacular episode. 

 

In my eyes, they're 0 for 2. 

It's not spectacular, but still solid, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

 

Not every episode needs to be Amending Fences or Pinkie Pride

After seeing the preview I think looks interesting and funny. I like how Pinkie, Rarity and Applejack have their pets send their letters to Twilight. I also love how Pinkie writes her letter on Gummy and it feels like she would do something like that. All in all this preview was pretty funny and I'm looking forward to the new episode.

If the writers are the Fox Brothers, hopefully it's less "AJ's Day Off"...a lot less, and more Gift of Maud Pie

I kinda blame Deusdau more than the Fox Bros for AJs Day Off. Their first outing made me really happy but literally everything Duesdau's been involved in has been a mess, so I just kinda have to give that that benifit of a doubt.

When Dusedau is involved, any episodes will receive 40% penalty :orly: and Applejack Day Off is a victim, but still Fox's brothers didnt do their good job either. 

 

random comment: I have a deep dark secret for liking one of Dusedau's ep called What About Discord? I will be cursed for liking that episode  :orly:
