okay, since nopony said anything. i'll say. Head is too big for a little filly girl AJ. (Winona's head is the same size as AJ's eye.. something is definitely wrong) sorry, but "adorable and cute" doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with body's proportions.
 
though, i think it's a common thing in cartoons. child version of grown up characters always displayed with bigger head's (don't know why, but it has something to do with the same thing is why anime characters have big eyes... it was made to demonstrate expression & emotions of the characters in low resolution on tv screens.. then it became distinctive feature of anime itself).
there is of course things like Chibi and such... but still, why RD in onesie looks alright and AJ not?

Or perhaps she stole it from the future Apple Bloom and then handed it down to her when she was born, so that bow has been going through a time loop for eternity. And it's still holding up pretty well for something so old, I'm impressed.
