Indicus looked up at the cloudy sky and nodded, "your correct we should head inside." Indicus let Crystal in first and was starting towards the door when the downpour hit drenching the unfortunate stallion, by the time Indicus was inside he was soaked fur to bone a slightly exaggerated frown on his face. "Just my luck I guess."

Crystal giggles as she goes and gets him a towel, then hands it to him "Here you go dear, dry up and I'll go make us dinner" she says with a soft smile, taking the nightblooms and putting them in a vase with some water, and even inside they still bloomed and blossomed.

Indicus takes the towel and starts to dry himself off after awhile he ditches the towel and uses a drying spell causing his fur to poof up giving him an appearance of a puffball even more so with his thick fur courtesy of his thestral (Bat-pony) heritage letting out another sigh he finds a brush and starts to try and flatten out his fur. Though Crystal would easily be able to witness this humorous event as he never left the living room.

Crystal smiles and giggles "aaaw but I was looking forward to snuggling up to you being all fluffy and puffy" she giggles as she walks over to him and nuzzles him lovingly "Dinner is just in the oven, should only be a few minutes until it is ready" she says with a soft smile and takes the towel to the laundry, placing it in the dirty laundry basket.

Indicus smiled and returned the nuzzle after having flattened it down. "That sounds good, thanks Crystal." Indicus sat down as he waited for dinner noticing how much she healed figuring it was because of all the love he was giving her. Indicus found it funny how a couple of days ago she stumbled upon his home injured and now she found a way into his heart.

She smiles and kisses his cheek before going to check on their dinner, her tail swishing somewhat as she walked and hummed a small tune to herself. She looks into the oven and smiles "Mm smells good, only another three or four minutes darling" she says, trotting over to him and lays down next to him. "If not for you my dear, I am sure I would not have survived much longer"

"Can't wait food smells great." Indicus returned the kiss once Crystal laid down. Then nuzzled her. "I'm glad I was able to help when I was. It would be a shame if you lost your life to a pack of Timberwolves." Indicus laid there next to Crystal enjoying the comfort and warmth of Crystal laying next to him.

Crystal smiled deeply in her sleep, dreaming of a future with Indicus, not only that, but a family. She murrs softly and flutters her wings and ears a little as she continues to dream for the night. But it was short lived as the buzzer went off. 

 

Getting up with a stretch and a yawn, she smiles and goes to turn the oven off "Dinner is ready love" she calls out as she begins to cut up and dish out the meal.

Indicus found himself lured asleep as well for a few minutes before the timer went off waking him and Crystal up. Shaking the sleep off himself he grabbed a plate and accepted the serving given to him, before going back to the couch to eat. "Mmm, this is quite good Crystal, where did you learn to cook?"

"Honestly, I'm not sure I ever actually learned to cook, and if I did, then it was so long ago I forgot..It just kind of came naturally to me, you know" she says as she bites into her own meal, She licks her muzzle before going to take a drink of water "Motherly instincts I guess"

Indicus shrugged, "Makes sense. I remember when I first started cooking without too much assistance, mom let me try cooking some deer from dad's latest hunt. Somehow it was edible even if parts were overcooked and dried. From there I learned to cook a lot of other things, and thank whatever deity's exist because rations are bland as all hell in the military." Indicus took another bite of his food. "Any little tidbits of your childhood you remember?"

"Apart from what I've already told you?" She asks, she smiles and eats her meal "Mmm, well I remember a time when ponies and Changelings lived together peacefully, there was no shortage of food for my kind and ponies were more than willing to give it." she says softly and looks around a little "Those were different times though, when ponies were less...superstitious and fearful"

"Honestly it's kind of sad but understandable that Equestrians are the way they are. So many hundreds of years without huge conflict of any kind then now they find issues popping up everywhere as if the world has caught up with them. Now they fear all that they were sheltered from."

She nods "Honestly though, you would think it'd be the other way around. The more into the future we get, the less superstitious ponies would be" she then sighs and shakes her head "none the less, I do hope Luna and Tia do come over, it's been so long, it'd be nice to see how they've grown"

A letter appears Infront of Indicus, he catches it and opens the letter. "Seems we have a reply." Indicus read the letter out loud.

 

Indicus,

 

I would refrain from calling Tia sun butt in the future but I'm sure you'll ignore this warning as well. I discussed your invitation with my sister and we both decided to give court over to Twilight for the day.

 

This old friend of ours that you mentioned has the both of us curious but I will assume we will have to visit to find out. Long story short we accept the invitation and will be there three hours from this letters arrival.

Crystal smiles "Three hours? I've got some work to do then, a bath for one, and to find somewhere to hide and to think of what to say" she says with a cute little giggle and finishes her meal then goes to put the dishes in the kitchen sink "where's the uhm..you know bathroom, it'd take at least an hour or two to get rid of all this grime that I've collected"

"Follow me I'll show you." Indicus then lead his changeling marefriend to the hallway and pointed at the bathroom door. "Here's the bathroom your welcome to whatever I have there though don't expect anything fancy." Indicus then stepped back and let Crystal enter to do her thing.

she smiles and nuzzles him "Thank you sweetie, I'll see you in an hour or two" she says as she goes into the bathroom and starts running the bath water, adding bubble mixture to it. When the water was high enough, she sinks into and sighs "ooh this feels so wonderful~"

Indicus waited in the living room for Crystal to finish her shower and thought about Luna's and Celly's visit an held hope that they would recognize Crystal despite the Chrysalis incident over a year ago. Well in a few hours he would find out for sure.

It took Crystal a full two hours and four times emptying and refilling the bathtub to finally get rid of all the grime that she had accumulated over the century and when she finally got out of the bath, her chitin was shiny and had a nice sheen to it, while her fur was soft and fluffy. She giggles as she cleans her glasses and goes downstairs. "Oh Indicus, sweetheart? How do I look, now that I'm all clean?" she asks

Indicus watches Crystal walk out of the bathroom and is struck quite speechless, her chitin was much shinier  and had a glossy sheen and her fur was smoothed out, while her mane and tail looked even more pronounced and brighter then before going very well with her eyes. Indicus managed to regain his voice, "You look beautiful."

She smiles and blushes a little "T-thank you darling" she says as she looks at the time "One hour left, guess I better find a hiding spot so I can surprise them" she says with a giggle "I just hope they recognize me" she says as she looks around for a good spot

"You could use my room and I can just announce you." Indicus suggested. An hour passed with the feeling of two as anticipation worked to elongate times passage. But soon enough a flash could be seen then followed by a knock on the door. Indicus smiled and answered the door.

Crystal giggles and nods and as soon as the knock came, she dashes up to Indicus' bedroom and hides.

 

Luna speaks up "It is us, you old hybrid of a pony, would you let us in? It is rather cold out" she says with a soft whinny and a chuckle as she felt a cold chill wash over and her sister.

Indicus laughed and opened the door letting Luna and her sister in. "Welcome to my home. I'm glad you both were able to set aside enough time to answer my request for a visit. Can I get you two anything?" Indicus asked with a smile and some curiosity if they would recognize Crystal wandered to his head.
