general Countries you would love to visit

Hey guys,

 

Unsure if this topic exists, but curious to see where in the world you guys would like to visit and see.

I've pretty much seen the whole of the UK, only two areas I've not been is the North East and Northern Ireland. I live over here and my family wernt really ones for doing aboard family holidays. The only place we went together was Brittany (France) and I hated it =/  France is the only other country Ive ever been too, done the Alps and Paris too. 

 

My travel wish list is here;

 

Scandinavia (all of it)

America (Both Coasts and the northern states) - Including Alaska and Hawaii.

Canada

Italy

Germany

Poland

Czech Republic

Japan

Vietnam

Thailand

Australia

New Zealand 

 

I do still want to see Russia and Ukraine, but maybe whenever the conflicts die down in the future...if they even do.

i kinda wanna go all over Europe so  i can see all the ww2 tank museums and battlefields mostly i want to go to Germany so i can go on tours around all the old nazi buildings, and Ukraine (specifically pripyat the abandoned town near Chernobyl)

im a history nut myself, which is why I wanted to go to Ukraine and Pipryat, but then the Russians came =c

well Ukraine isnt exactly a good place to go on holiday right now. not since Russia "invaded" last year. its a very torn country and I wouldnt count on it being too safe at the moment. 

 

London has the Imperial war museum. I was there and it is very cool

 

Every town and city you go to over here will have some kind of awesome museum. I live in a Town called Taunton and our museum/castle has a pretty awesome military history section to it, plus it was at the center of major events through the Civil War. Judge Jeffories haunts the museum as well as some of the men he put to death.

There are very few places I would not like to visit actually.

 

 

Like some have mentioned, I am a huge history geek, and any museums or places I could visit to get caught up in the past are a plus to me. I can become absolutely impossible to deal with when surrounded by old  interesting and historical things.

 

Also anything with a dark possibly sinister past is fascinating to me as well. Like this...

To me, this kind of stuff is like candy. I love documenting things like this, and just visiting and getting a vibe for the place while hearing the stories and learning about what all happened.

 

I also would like to visit some of the places my family is from, as well as places that were important to my family in one way or another.

Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, India, and the Maldives. I've visited most of Asia but I stull have a few countries left to go. I went to Japan three times already but honestly the country is very hyped up by tourists, kind of like France. There's some lretty good locations, though.

This, though I kinda already have a head start on that since I've been to Poland already. Warsaw is a very war torn city, old but new because of the Nazis. Auschwitz was a sight to behold. It was a sad place to go...

 

But I would want to go to other parts of Europe to see other WW2 sights as well. Maybe throw in some Russia to see the oher historical sights like St. Petersburg, maybe Kursk.

 

I would also want to go to Japan. Big video game nerd on top of the WW2 nerdiness so going to Tokyo would be grand.

It'd be a long list if I listed every country I want to visit so I'll leave it to the ones I most want to see:

Iran(not sure I'd be able to go as an American)

 

 

I have yet to travel the world a whole lot, hopefully one day that'll change!
