So I had this odd idea in my head I wanted to share with everyone, I thought there is google, but then there are people who know things. Those little tips and odd tricks to doing things that are helpful and so on online. I wanted to start this thread with the idea that you (Yeah you reading!) know any odd thing about internet use or a PC (Mac too) trick you've learned you can share it here.

I will link guides or the tips, etc here on the first post as they are listed and people can go on to contribute more as they learn.

Think of this as a resource topic.

Here is my contribution.

How to take screen shots of specific sections of your screen.

(This guide is for windows 10)

Firstly you need to search this in your windows search bar: "Snipping Tool".

(I'd suggest either pinning it to your desktop or placing it in your tool bar)

Anyway once you have that running you take a screen shot almost as normal.

Instead of pressing the "Print Screen" key you have you press the "Ctrl" + "Print Screen" Your screen will go grey and a selection tool will appear, once it does select the section you wish to pick for example.

Anyway you can select as much or as little of the screen as you choose as well as a number of options like drawing or highlighting the image.

It works on everything regardless of what is on your screen just make sure it's up to be viewed before taking your screen shot. For example I want to take a section from Skype.

You've got to bring it up first, and hey presto!

You can now take screen shots of what you want people to see! And they can be pasted straight into a chat in Skype or Discord! (Just like a normal screen shot)

Hope this helped!

Not gonna lie, I read "Snipping Tool" as "Shipping Tool" at first glance. :P

That's a lot more helpful than taking a regular screenshot and having to open it in a photo editing program just to crop it. :)
