Seriously, crime, famine, cruelty, pedophilia, deceases, dictatorships and they dedicate time to post against a bunch of dudes liking cartoon horses . Do what I do: Ignore them first and foremost. If they are attacking you directly, either ignore them again, or if you see a chance, use cleverness to make fun of them just for the lulz  . They want to make people mad, so they can't stand being ignored, and much less their insults backfiring

This isn't the first of it's kind. There was this whole group called "Mothers Against Bronies" and their sister page called "Mothers Against Furries" the ywere incredibly homophobic, racist etc and a number of people made short work of those pages with getting them taken down

'Love and tolerance' doesn't just extend to those on this site - we should strive and endeavor to rise above the petty finger-pointing and accusations that this FB page is obviously going on and on about - this way, when folks come here to see how we handle it, they'll be ashamed to see that we REALLY DO accept anyone here - even those who hate us.

*Peruses Facebook posts.*  I think their complaints regarding this site are kind of valid.  *Shrugs.*  And I think they're making the point elsewhere that the fandom produces some pretty awful shit; can't really disagree with that one, either.  (Though their claim of "bestiality" is so fucking tired and ignorant that I simply don't have the spare energy to address it for the four thousandth time.)  I do wonder, though: Could this person have once been a member at MLPF?  Were they banned? xD  Are they possibly a current member who's kept their head down?

Everyone has a view about the fandom and by default, this site... for better or worse... and a lot of times those claims might be justified... since not everyone in the fandom sees it the same way or is active within it all the same way. Wasting your energy and time trying to dispute their claims and prove them wrong just gives you less time to enjoy the fandom for what you see it as.

 

It's easy to get annoyed when someone spends ridiculous amounts of time trying to insult you, ridicule you or mislabel you.... but it is even more annoying to realize afterwards you spent an almost equal amount of time paying attention to it.

 

I would rather be happy being myself, than frustrated being what they think I am.

Eh, they seemed mostly reasonable when I back-and-forth'd with them, but they definitely have some blind spots where Bronies are concerned.  Nobody should be threatening their family, though; that's just shitty behavior no matter who you are.

I don't think it's overly difficult to make a Facebook page; a friend ran with an idea we had and founded a page devoted to chocolate-related dank memes lol.

 

And they're getting hate right back.  They claimed they were doxxed and death threats were made towards their family.  If that's honestly the case, I'm siding with the Facebook dude on this one.  No matter what criticisms they may express towards the fandom, only a coward would use that as an excuse to threaten a person's family.

I'm sorry, but moderators threaten members? I do no such thing. Most of what I do is move threads that belong somewhere else, but there's no judgment involved in that. I just move stuff where it needs to be (and truth be told I have messed up on that once or twice but I'm always willing to correct it if I do). I certainly don't have the ability to watch PMs as far as I know, and wouldn't even if I could.
