The only way Chrysalis would have a chance to enact her revenge would be if she brought that magic nullifying stone back.

 

I mean that stone has an insane range of nullifying magic. The four were miles away from the Changeling castle and the throne was probably a couple of miles deep in that castle and their magic was still getting nullified. The throne wasn't anything that big either but I can imagine how Chrysalis can use that "kryptonite" and some new allies to take on the ponies since it doesn't nullify her magic.

 

But yeah I think it's lame that Discord is still around they have to introduce these dumb magic nullifying things to make him relevant otherwise he's too overpowered.

 

But what about King Sombra? He could create his own magic nullifying stones. Not sure about the range of his stones but he was able to seal all the magic of the Crystal Empire using those stalagmites. What if Chrysalis actually was using that same type of stone that Sombra left behind before he was banished?

idk about all that stuff but it would make a really effective siege weapon indeed.. all she needs to do is pump out more evil kids and try to attack again :/ than again the changeling castle thing is now completely reformed and would try to stop her from taking it back... could work tho and would make for some good material to watch X3

I would like for them to reintroduce the Stones, but in a more limited fashon.

basically, explain them kidnapping all the princesses without being found out by them having shards of the Throne that they used to nullify magic in a short area; As for why they didn't use the Stones in their Canterlot Invasion, have the pieces "Overload" after a certain amount of magic and get destroyed, so each tiny piece is single use-- The Throne would have had near infinite capacity for absorbtion due to saying that the size of the object exponentially increases how much it can hold (like 1 pound would have be like a "1', and 40 pounds of it would be like 1600).

 

 

Then have chrysalis have a few shards she salvaged or had on her when she fled that she could pull out for future plots, without being able to have one for ALL her schemes. Hell, She's got swords in Guardians of harmony right? Have her sword be like a seastone sword in One piece or something, made out of her throne's shard so that she couldn't be outright lasered but would have to be engaged mare to mare with melee weapons due to that (So that would be why twilight or Shining's toys come with weapons when they're normally mages)

Sombra's magic-nullifying crystals seemed to have a shorter range (e.g. - Shining's horn, that trap circle Twilight stepped on, etc.), but roughly the same effectiveness.

Might explain why Celestia and Luna were airborne in that flashback battle, too: They knew better than to get too close to the ones he'd put all over the Empire.
