What would be good movie ideas for Disney?

Here's my list:

-Rumpelstiltskin

-John Henry

-Shangri-La: Land of Peace (takes place during the 1930’s, where a professor, a washed-up singer, a soldier, the son of a railroad worker, and a girl with a mysterious past embark on a journey to Shangri-La; Nazis, sorcerers, and yetis are involved)

-Terra (movie that takes place in an underground world)

-Pecos Bill

-St. George and the Dragon

-Zephyr (sci-fi movie that takes place in a city in the sky, where a teenaged outcast must save his home from an ancient evil)

What are your suggestions?

Why do they need new ideas when they can just reboot old ones ad infinitum?  (Sarcasm)

I'm not sure what would be good for movies that are strictly Disney, but if it's Disney Pixar we're talking about, then it seems that all they need to do is make a CGI movie about the adventures of everyday, inanimate objects that come to life and talk!  That's how they come up with ideas--they just look around their desks at work.  Let's see, I can do that.  Watch: how about....um....Disney Pixar's Tissue Boxes!  Yeah, a movie about talking tissue boxes that complain about their people's runny noses.  Or how about Disney Pixar's...um...LAMPS.  Yeah, talking lamps.  Tall lamps, short lamps, fat lamps, lamps with different colored light bulbs that gently poke at social commentaries on race relation?  See how easy it is?  I should work at Disney.

^_^:P :-P

For a while, I thought a good premise for a Pixar-like movie would be having characters based on different seasons and weather phenomena, but I struggle on what a good plot for it would be. It would basically be like the Miser Brothers from The Year Without a Santa Claus, except bigger and better.

I always thought a Three Musketeers animated movie would be good. Not the Mickey Mouse version which really dropped the ball, but a more realistic one with human characters.

But speaking of Mickey, I'd love to see a full-length version of Mickey and the Beanstalk, which was the original intention for the short film from the '40s and never got it's full treatment.

This might sound pretty wrong but I would love to see the disney version of Jekyll and Hyde. It is a pretty dark story but most of the original stories were pretty dark before they got disneyed-up, I'm sure they could make it so that it would fit into the disney theme ^^

I have not been keeping up with Disney films in quite a while.... mostly I just lost interest in their films the last few years and have not seen anything to interest me into seeing most of their films lately. I've thought about going back and doing some marathon rewatching of them, but meh.

One thing I like is Disney adapting stories to a more friendly and general market, (even if they are predictable they are also a lot of fun) and Pixar sticking to original ideas (sequels are OK).

A couple of tales I would love to see Disney adapt would be

The Buried Moon

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (an animated version)

The Pied Piper

Pandora's Box

Black Bull of Norroway

Tattercoats and or Catskin

Cleopatra

Rumpelstiltskin

Bluebeard

Anne Bonny

Thor / Jormungand (or any Scandinavian myths or legends really)

Examples? I see this a lot from people that seem to hate on Pixar for some odd reason, and yet I don't see it. It is true they have sort of done quite a few sequels, but of them only Cars 2 was really weak. Toy Story 2 & 3, Monster U. and Finding Dory are all pretty good. Just really curious as to where all of this comes from.

Oh, it's just an exaggeration.  A joke, really.  And when you look at the titles, I guess there aren't that many examples.  I don't hate them at all.  I really like most of what they do, actually.

- Journey to the West

- Cleopatra

- Rumpelstilskin

- King Arthur(has Disney done this? I feel like they did)

- Paul Bunyan

- John Henry

- various other Gods and mythical beings from other mythologies like Roman or Norse mythology

I don't do much research on fairytales and Tall Tales, so I'm sure there are plenty more I'm forgetting

Or they could also dig up more obscure Marvel properties and make a Disney movie out of it like Big Hero 6....or make an animated Spider-Man movie

You know what? Fuck it. Give me a Disney Journey To The West movie
