In MLP, is there any land beyond Equestria?

Hello fellow pony fans! I have been wondering about this question for a while, and I was hoping someone could answer it for me. Is there any land beyond Equestria? Is Equestria their planet, or is it just one of many continents on their planet? I noticed something In the episode "Pinkie Apple Pie". When the Apple family is singing "Apples to the Core", Applejack says, "...we'll sing our song across the pony nation, from Equestria and beyond.". This seems like they are implying that there are lands beyond Equestria. If somepony could help answer my question, that would be ponirific!

Thanks! Regal Shadow

There might be lands that exist beyond Equestria given that the world map shows it's surrounded by an expansive ocean, indicating that other continents are out there waiting to be discovered. I'd also like to think of the Dragon Kingdom, Griffinstone, and Yakyakistan as being separate kingdoms given they have their own established domains without any influence from Celestia and Luna.

We never did hear anything else about it after it was brought up during Magic Duel. It's become the forgotten kingdom or the place no one knows about.

If Las Pegasus finally got an episode, then perhaps Saddle Arabia will finally get a mention via an episode centered around it. Perhaps the writers will come up with something? Oh, and I added you as a friend as a side-note.

Well, considering that, if I remember correctly, Twilight says that "no one from Equestria has been to Yakyakistan", I think it's safe to assume that's it's not part of Equestria. I'd be willing to wager that the Dargon Kingdom and Griffonstone are as well.

That's what I was thinking as well. It seems non-ponies have their own kingdoms but are weary of ponies for reasons we don't yet understand.

As others have mentioned I am sure there is a lot of places outside Equestria... I like to think of Equestria as just one continent within a much more massive and unexplored world. Even the official maps have an undiscovered West and South listed along with a couple of places we have yet to visit.

I'll cite textually the plot of the Movie:

"In order to stop a threat to the town of Ponyville, the "Mane Six" – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity – must leave Equestria, meeting new friends and overcoming challenges in the process."

So... yeah, this topic will be a huge part of the Movie itself (which alone makes me so pumped for it).

...Saddle Arabia?

Oh ho ho! Saddle Arabia could be an own topic in itself!

I believe Equestria covers alot, but not everything. It's like that space, that security is promised in. Like in minecraft your zone. Though, when someone comes along you realize, that PvP somehow is turned on and you get your butt kicked anyway.

This is a pretty old thread, but I have some new Intel! I've been curious about the new creatures and lands revealed in IDW's Season 10 comics so I went to the source: Jeremy Whitley, who wrote most of the key issues of that run. And Jeremy replied! This is probably as close to an official answer as we are likely to get! Here is his response (with minor corrections):

Apologies if I'm a bit hazy on this. It has been a few years. Farasi [was] definitely supposed to be further east than we ever went in the show, on past the dragons. Abyssinia was meant to be relatively close to Klugetown from the movie. The [Parrot Peaks] were meant to be on past [Griffonstone]. We left the diamond dogs home pretty vague but that was meant to be the closest, just hidden in the mountains. And the home of the Knights was off in that unexplored west, though on an island further south. It's impossible to find, so wouldn't be on the map anyway.

Hope those are satisfactory answers!

It's really nice to see the Undiscovered West utilized in Season 10. I've long wanted to see it explored. And it seems that the continent to the east of Equestria is much bigger than we knew!  If Abysisinia is near Klugetown then I wonder if Saddle Arabia is also in that general vicinity, maybe bounded by the Bone Dry Desert and the Celesial Sea?

Are the Dragon Lands actually an island? Maybe the Isle of Scaly we see in G5? The magic map to the Isle of Scaly also shows a route that seems to lead to a seapony community. Maybe not Seaquestria but Aquastria (from a picture book) or Coltlantis (from the FIM comics)?
