What Do You Think About Hillary Clinton?

I definitely did not like her and I never supported her campaign, even though I supported some of her points. I think that the United States (and the world, more importantly (IMO)) dodged a bullet with her.

However, I will say that I do respect her resilience and her determination. I also respect the fact that when it was clear that she had lost, that she decided to go about things a bit quietly instead of risking things escalating, due to fear and confusion, and made sure that everything went peacefully.

She can lose with dignity.

i think it's funny how the media kept predicting hillary to win the election and then she lost in a pretty big way, it was not that close of an election, trump beat her by like 60 electorial votes

and now people are rioting in california and protesting at the white house LOL

Even Five-Thirty Eight was baffled for quite some time. They predicted Hillary's victory for the entire year and now it turns out that they had made a prediction that was completely wrong. Before they put Trump at 20-25%. After he won Florida, he became 77%. And after Pennsylvania, it was 97%.

He certainly did turn the odds.

I was up until a few minutes before Penn got reported. At that point it was already over I think. Was just watching the reactions of the supporters at that point.

Most of her and people's relationship around her is like what happens when people forget what a political scandal is. Her career and background isn't so much the worse of politics, but how politics is run. Trump may have gone in promising to break the system, but he'll likely find out he'll have to become one with the system. But this isn't about Trump, but you can't quite grade Clinton on her own and I do need Trump to help describe her.

I think what the Clinton campaign forgot was the working class platform. They didn't really deliver a message to me that would improve my future, and while I did ultimately vote for her in the end (because really, bringing the handful of surviving human-work jobs from Mexico and China and expecting it to be a return to form in the fifties and sixties is a fantasy) I can see and understand why she screwed up. It was that work platform she failed on.

Like-wise, she didn't offer any sort of ideology in her campaign. Everything Clinton put forward was like the features for buying a home appliance. Yes it makes my life a little better, if the packaging is to be believed; but it doesn't help improve my belief in my own identity and purpose as much as Trump's tactical sweep of the required states. Trump's message was making the nation great again, Bernie Sander's message was to reclaim Washington for the people and make the rich accountable. Clinton's was... not Trump.

I would go so far as to say that Clinton's failure was her inability to deliver a proper message, with a strong robust platform; lacking in any sort of compensation for the key states she lost. But then again, it appears Clinton may have won the popular vote where-as Trump won the Electoral "Rigged System" Vote. It's crazy to consider. But we can understand this legacy better in good time.

The absolute worst candidate in history. Even worse than Trump. I'm glad she didn't become President. She would have declared world war 3. Honestly, who would want that? She also leaked strictly classified documents and even deleted some, and cheated with the polls.

even the local paper I read this morning that was printed before trump won was still going on about how hillary was going to win by a landslide and all the mistakes trump had made

I'm honestly sure who I hate more between Hillary and Trump and Biden. I hate all three of them almost equally, and that is not really a strong enough word for it.

In Hillary's case she's a lying old vindictive hag with a massive ego problem and such a horrendous history that anyone vouching for her might as well be laughed out of any discussion.

Now though if we were talking about Mike Bloomberg, that guy is literally the most despicable person running for president in who knows how long. Heck, I'd consider voting Trump over him he's that bad.

That she was a result of the DNC congregating in a meeting to decide how to lose an election.

If they wanted to win the election they wouldn't have rigged it against Bernie but NOOOO, they HAD to do that because "socialism is bad." Yeah the "far left" party did that. "Far left" my @$$. If they were even on the left they would have given Bernie a fairer shake.

Though this time he did it to himself, and I'm ashamed now to have backed such a lame revolutionary who just caves even before anything actually starts.

There are two separate types of "left" or "right" - economic and social. They usually get conflated into one however, which then tells you nothing. For example, let's say a politician says this: "Workers must seize the means of production, from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs". Well, that's as far "left" as it can be, do you agree? Then later the politician says this: "All Jews must die" - now that's as far "right" as it can be, correct? So, is the politician "left" or "right"? After all, wanting to seize the means of production does not prevent you from also wanting to kill Jews.

She's a lunatic liar corrupt politician. That is all.

I completely agree. While I dislike quite a few of Trump's policies (the economic ones, I would be with Sanders on economy and with Trump on immigration), the alternative was really awful:
1. Corrupt
2. Calls Trump supporters sexist and racist (yea, because the only reason I would not want to vote for you is because you are a woman, right... I can think of some women politicians who I would vote for).
3. Also said something along the lines of "it's my turn now". Entitled much?

Besides, this is kind-of how elections go in my country, at least for me. Each time the question is less like "whose policies I like better", though I do consider the policies, but "who has not yet proven himself to be completely corrupt" or "the current politicians have stolen enough, give someone else a chance to steal". Because even if I really like the proposed policies, if the politician is corrupt, he won't do as he promised anyway.

One of the reasons I liek Trump is that he actually attempted to keep promises (trying to build the wall etc) to his voters.
