Has Sunset proven she's not suited to be human?

In the first movie, she mocks Twilight for not fitting in as a human, but has time shown that Sunset isn't suited for this world, either? When it comes to magic, she's shown that she is still a pony at heart. She still desires the magical mysteries and epic quest that she sang about in her deleted scene, which can be seen in both RR and FoE. It excites her, and she wants her human friends to embrace Equestrian magic as well-known possibly so she can feel even closer to them, and her pony home. She can't be herself in a world without magic, as it was in movie 1. And I have to wonder if she had been able to go through the portal in FG, if she would've been able to return to the human world, being so attached and connected to the former. What do you guys think?

I desire magical mysteries and epic quests. I'd love to go to Equestria and use magic...So, I guess I'm not fit to be human?

Sunset's perfectly fit to be human, she's spent years in their world and while she certainly might miss Equestria and her unicorn magic, she also does seem to be happy in the human world. She has friends there, who she cares about a ton. It's her choice whether she wants to go home or not now, isn't it? The portal is open at all times, yet she continues to live in the human world. I think if she went back to Equestria, she'd end up missing her friends too much, I doubt she'd stay for more than a visit.

Not to mention that Equestrian magic running amok in the human world will fix that longing for epic quest and she now has free access to magic :dash: .

Yeah, the scrapped subplot in FG se did miss those things, and human Twi was returning to Crystal Academy, but in the end she decided she'll stay in the human world. She should visit Equestria at least once to apologize to Celly though

She's suited to being Pony or Human in my opinion. Although we know very little so far of how Sunset lives, I'd say she has adapted well. If she ever went back to Equestria she'd probably miss the things she had in the Human world.

Right now, Sunset definitely fits in as a human considering she has been living amongst them for a few years, but deep down she does yearn for the day when she can go back to Equestria and reconcile with Princess Celestia. Sure, she can actually do that right now since the portal is open to her, but Sunset suffers from anxiety when it comes to wanting to go back. Despite all she has done since changing her ways, she still feels guilty over what happened in the past, and I think she's afraid that she won't regain Celestia's kindness.

Her heart yearns to become a unicorn again but until she can overcome that one aspect of her past that continues to linger, she is comfortable living as a human. Aside from Celestia and Princess Twilight, Sunset doesn't really have anyone in Equestria who can relate to her on a personal level that she can form a strong bond of friendship with.

If she'a satisfied chasing magical anomalies in humsnsland, then more power to her, but otherwise there's not a whole lot for her in the human world, especially if her friends happen to scatter after high school. Pony Twilight formed her friendships post-education, and that's very different from high school friendships. Plus, there's no magic courses in human universities, and who knows how much magic will be left after Sunset fixes the portal?

Sunset definitely could go back to Equestria at any time that she wants, but I think that her mind is actually blocking out that possibility because she wants to forget about the pony that she used to be.  You have to keep in mind, Sunset was born a pony, and deep down, I don't think that that can ever change.  She has always been the one to be most interested in Equestrian magic, whether she is embracing it or questioning where it came from, an interest that probably comes naturally to unicorn ponies.

And as for the argument that Sunset won't leave her friends, I actually think that she really doesn't fit in with her friends at all.  She doesn't quite seem to connect with them that well, and of course is stuck saying "no offense" every other day.  I think that once Sci-Twi finally understands the Magic of Friendship as well as pony Twilight does, Sunset will finally not be needed in the human world, and she will realize that it is better for her to return home, where she can always befriend the Mane 6 anyways.  Then we can finally see her apologize to Celestia like we've all been hoping for.
