Putting Mane character episodes too close together

Remember in season six? People were complaining about too much Rarity and too much Rainbow Dash. Well, the main problem might not be too much of them. The main problem might be - putting their episodes so close together. in the first half of season six, we got The Gift of Maud Pie in the beginning, and then we got constant episodes with Rarity playing a leading role in Saddle Row, AJ's Day Off, Spice Up Your Life, and Cart Before the Ponies. Too much Rarity in one place. After Rarity had her role in PPOV, at least I didn't think she was a problem anymore.

This was the same thing about Stranger Than Fan Fiction, Cart Before the Ponies, and 28 Pranks Later together. Three episodes in a row where Rainbow Dash had the leading role. Then after two Spike episodes, Rainbow had a leading role AGAIN in Buckball Season, and of course there was Top Bolt later on.

Plus, the lack of appearances with the rest of the main cast for a majority of episodes in a row doesn't really help out either. Like people say, there's no such thing as too many Rarity or Rainbow Dash appearances. But there is too less of the other main cast, and they need to shine too, and having certain members of the Mane Six having too many episodes so close together doesn't really help either.

What do you think of this? Should the Mane Six have more episodes in a row together, or should they be separated so more of them to go around throughout the season instead of all cramped together in one part and less of them later?

I'm pretty sure if they scrapped 28 Pranks Later in favor of giving spotlight for another character little would complain

That said, this has been a problem for a while, season 5 had that "month of Rarity" where we got three episodes in a row that heavily featured the character, and season two also did a bad job spacing out the character focus

Pinkie didn't have a single solo episode in season 6 at all, so replacing 28 Pranks Later with a Pinkie episode might've done the trick!

To be honest next season I wish the had one episode per mane six pony scrambled out, one or 2 Cmc episodes, maybe one episode for spike, a few flurry heart episodes, and for the rest completely different ponies. That will leave a good last check up with the not so important characters till the movie.(I think Starlight received enough, I don't want ANOTHER alicorn in my hands.)

I can tell you this: Rarity had NOTHING in the first half of Season 5, and Rainbow Dash had almost nothing in the second half of that same season. Therefore, they both needed to make up for it all in Season 6. But I do agree, I guess they made up too much.

I'm predicting that for Season 7, Applejack will get more appearances in the first half than in the second half, and Pinkie and Fluttershy will take Rarity and Rainbow Dash's place in the spotlight.

For all people complained about Rarity..... Rarity didn't have one ether unless you count Saddle Row.

But Dash had 2.

I don't think your ever going to get an overwhelming amount of Fluttershy appearences, I think as of the last few seasons the Writers basically realized the character had been spinning in circles and have kinda decided unless they actually have something NEW to do with her to not use her too much, which is fine, id rather S6 Fluttershy not appearing much but always being a highlight when she does than S3-S4 Flutteshy, appearing a lot.... and almost always having the same basic plot and lessons.

Rarity really did appear too much in season 6.

Especially when compared to other members of the mane 6 who got really screwed over, such as Fluttershy for the second season in a row, and Pinkie Pie.

Rainbow had more episodes than Rarity in S6 by the end, and more actual solo episodes, if anyone appeared to much it was her.

That would have been a bad idea. In most earlier seasons, Pinkie Pie had too many solo episodes and not enough with other characters. Plus, Pinkie had way more appearance time than Rainbow Dash did in most of Season 5 AND first half of Season 6, until Stranger Than Fan Fiction.

Moreover, I only want Pinkie to have one solo episode in Season 7, and a few more with Fluttershy and the Cutie Mark Crusaders (mostly Gabby).

Even more, the Crusaders have used up their episodes with most Mane Six ponies. Fluttershy used up hers in Season 1 with Stare Master, and as of Season 2, was now only allowed minor appearances, cameos or absences in later CMC episodes. This also applied to Twilight Sparkle as of Season 5, after she had hers in Twilight Time. And now, three more ponies used up theirs -- Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity -- in Season 6's The Cart Before the Ponies. Which means, Pinkie's the only one left who can have a major appearance with the CMCs. Of course, with Gabby around, Pinkie's chance of finally having a CMC episode has gotten even bigger! (Note: Pinkie had more interactions with Gilda than Rainbow Dash did in both of Gilda's episodes, and besides, Rainbow Dash already has a little buddy in Scootaloo.)

Spike didn't have an episode with the CMCs yet (I don't count Just for Sidekicks; CMCs only played a supporting role there), and neither did Starlight! In fact, I don't think Starlight has interacted with the CMCs at all yet! I'd say Discord as well, but they had Friends Forever comic, so I'll count that!

Oh goodness... still, I just want Pinkie Pie to have a CMC episode rather than anypony else; besides, it's her turn (and Fluttershy's) to dominate most of Season 7. I only want Starlight to have a supporting role with the CMCs, like Spike did. I can't let the show end without a Pinkie/CMC episode. I want every season to be fair enough, after all.
