i bet some of you are thinking: "snow! why the hell did you go and subscribe for $100 a month?!?!"

well let me just tell you... because of conversion its actually close to $135 per month tehe

 

the reason why i decided to give this money to MLPForums is because its money i wouldn't even have if i never found this forum in the first place so i have no problem with giving them some.

 

its ugh.. kinda hard to see what im typing through all the tears..

 

i just really want to thank you all for what you have done for me..

 

before i became a brony i was something much worse in the eyes of society.. a neo nazi and nazi sympathiser who saw homosexuals, transgenders and the mentally disabled as less than human..

i was a horrible person and because of it keeping friends was impossible.. one night because i was bored i decided to try mlp.. before i knew it i was nearing the end of season 5 as the last 3 or 4 episodes were airing, the moral messages in the show were amazing.. it made me realise how bad of a person i was but i took it all wrong, it drove me to self hate and suicidal depression, i felt there was no place for a person like me in this world, so i decided i was going to kill myself as an act of good will for the sake of others...

 

but not until i had finished watching MLP. season 5 had come to an end and that was it, i needed some time to plan my exit and during that time i somehow stumbled upon confirmation of season 6, i didn't believe it at first but just in case i decided against doing anything stupid and just like that: season 6 came flying around the corner.

 

the first thing i did after the first two episodes was google searched why flurry heart was an alicorn (i was utterly outraged) and the link i clicked lead me to a thread in a forum full of other people who likes the show as well, it was MLPForums. When I signed up I was still very depressed and careless which lead me to post stuff that got me into a bit of trouble.

 

But honestly, thank you to all the staff that keep a watchful eye on the forum and those who slapped me on the wrist for my wrong doings, a special thanks those like @@Venomous, @@PiratePony, @, @@Darkhorse, and @@Randimaxis, over time you guys have grown as role models to me and I can't express my gratitude enough for showing me what is right. Over the past few months my life has been completely turned around and despise the stress of a full time job I could not be happier, thanks so much you guys!

 

season 6 is all finished up with a movie and season 7 on the way, but that's not why im still here, in the time i spent on this forum during season 6 i changed so much and i started making friends.. im alive still because of all you guys, you gave me the hope, encouragement and support i needed to escape the darkness..

 

to my dear friends like @, and @@Orange Sparks, and everybody else in the LGBT or/and the disabled community i wish to also take the opportunity to apologise for my past judgements.. please know that i am utterly ashamed of them and i cannot and will not forgive myself. after becoming friend with these people I can tell you the some of them are more human than I am or ever will be, i love you all so much

 

thank you to all and any who make MLPForums what it is, thank you to all the poniverse staff, the tech ponies, the sectional staff, moderators, and administrators.

 

this forum has helped me become a better person, overcome fears, aided with my dyslexia because of all the typing and reading and thank you MLPForums for all of the friends I have made who have helped me and let me help them. @@SolarFlare13, a brony who lives close to me and I would never have met him if it wasn't for the forums. @@TheRockARooster, I ain't giving up on you rocky, as a friend I want you to be happy all the time. @@Corgis, and @@Storm Striker, my brothers in arms who play warthunder with me just to name a few, if you didn't get a mention and you are on my friends list or mentioned somewhere else you are no different.. I'm just on an iPad which makes it really hard to do a lot of mentions :c sorry.

and finally an extremely special thank you to @@Summer Breeze, what can i say.. the world needs more people like you in it. you are a wonderful person and an amazing friend.

 

im most likely still the biggest wehraboo on this forums but its out of love for tanks and has nothing to do with hate. thank you all for helping reform me into someone i thought i could never be and someone i am proud to be, i will take this with me and will remain grateful as long as i live. i love you all so much... thank you...

thats good to hear that you changed your life around, to be honest I was in a similar situation before becoming here, I wanted to "blow my candle out" as I had enough of this shitty world I live in ... it is hard when (in a case like urs) u look at people differently and judge them for who they are ... judging them like a cover on a book, the only difference between me and u (well there are a lot in the story, but to keep it simple for the sake of a shorter post) is I wasn't a neo-Nazi, I didn't hate you if you where black or white, gay or straight, pink or purple ... what I was ... what I still am is someone that hates themselves and only doesn't care about themselves, like I love (no homo) all the friends I have made here and you all know who you are but no matter what people say, I have done some really god awful things as a kid that I will never forgive myself ... I remember 1 time I called a person who was 7 or 8 months pregnant fat in real life ... I still feel so bad for even saying that but I was too young to even know better (well I was 7 and my folks told me the storks story when I was that age, I know its not true now, but that's not my point)

 

I'm proud for you that you decided to give away that much money to mlp forums, mind you I'm only doing a tenth of ur amount each month and that's enough for me ... also you will have new perks as well ... sigs can now be 600x200 (look at the size of my sig, that's 600x200 and theres one for the avatar that idk off the top of my head ... I think (from the top of my head) maybe 150x200 idk :/ but seriously ... take the time to just reflect how bad things were and use that to make urself better ... I try that everyday ... goodnite snow, take it easy

I'm so glad you enjoy the site. I know what it's like to be depressed and be close to the point where you just want to end it all - it really, really sucks and whoever feels that way should really seek help not to feel that way anymore. However, I'm glad you found a way to keep those thoughts away, as I have too. When I first came back though, I did consider leaving because of my Christian views, and the fact I was a Trump supporter, and seeing how people on other sites weren't too happy about that, but after seeing how most members are on this site, no matter if they are an LGBT member, Republican or Democrat, religious or atheist, and so on, I decided to stay after thinking about it for a while.

 

As for disabilities, I technically have one too (high functioning autism), but I don't let that limit what I can do. My personal belief is that even if you have one, there are many things you can do, and you shouldn't focus on what you cannot do, but focus on what you can do and take pride on that. I don't even really consider mine a disability, but as far as doctors and the schools are concerned, it is.

Good to hear Snow!  MLPF has also helped me a bit with not hating on people with different interests (mostly members of other fandoms like anime or furries) or people in the LGBQT community (although hate is a strong word in my case).  When I found these forums I was working nights in a cracker factory with a bunch of people that annoyed the heck out of me so finding a group of lovely people like this helped to restore my faith in humanity that not everybody is impossible to get along with and only watch their own backs.

I am and have long believed that each person is possessed of the capacity for growth and change. Negativity is an easy net to get snared in. Depression is like an internal cancer of one's being. It's uplifting that you have come to the conclusions that you have, and I am sure it wasn't an easy road for you to traverse. Reading this actually made my day. Thanks for that. I am in agreement with the power of friendship. I've known some good people and I'm lucky to have met some of them on this very site. We have leaned on each other during our own trials and heartache and have boosted each other up when needed, and of course shared in each other's successes and silliness. So much silliness.

 

You mention people who you have grown close to, and I will tell you this ... keep growing with them. Friendship is like a fine wine some would say.

mate im not even 100% sure what a badge is XD i haven't heard anything about it yet either.

I'm so late to this but reading all of this makes me feel so much emotions. for one because my dear friend had almost not been here, that makes me so incredibly sad to hear. but on the other side, now you're doing well, you're going somewhere, you'll make your dreams all come true, I'm so happy for that. keep going snow, you can do it! I'm so incredibly thankfull to have met you and I hope we'll stay friends for a really long time, and maybe even meet outside the forums one day

but that's not all, i'd like to give a super special thank you to @@Jeric, when you gave me my first and only formal warning on a post i made back then.. that's what sparked the desire to change. holy shit those words cut deep man. my heart sank through the floor when i first read it and it still does. just reading that warning post makes me feel so ashamed. and now it serves as a permanent reminder of the past T-T there isnt any way i can get it removed is there... :c the last thing i ever want to do was jeopardise my position in the forums. this place is where i have met all of my closest friends and serves as a second home to me. providing the love and support i need to keep me happy, all of the staff and all of my friends have done such amazing things for me.. but you have by far done the most and it is to you i am the most grateful, thank you so much Jeric.
