We've seen Ms. Derp console Flash twice now, when both Twilight's brushed him off, once in Rainbow Rocks, and again in Legends of Equestria. Will Flash and up with her, or forever be alone?

I see both of those incidents as nothing more than a funny moment that shouldn't be taken seriously. The writers are well aware of the fact that the fandom doesn't like Flash Sentry, yet that's why he can be seen with sympathy in Legend of Everfree. He has accepted that his relationship with Twilight will never happen and he has nothing in common with Sci-Twi. I doubt he'd be willing to get back together with Sunset as that moment has passed so that leaves him alone.

 

Oh, and it was Friendship Games that started this trend, not Rainbow Rocks.

I would rather see people heavily focus on this, rather than continuing to beat a dead horse with constant Flash Sentry bashing.

Can we stop talking about Flash Sentry now?  Or, Idunno...  Ever?  He's neither relevant nor important; nothing more than a remnant of an ill-conceived attempt at forced and obligatory high school-tier romance.  I've seen harem anime with more interesting male love interests, and that's honestly saying something.

 

Besides: "Hookup" implies something that EQG is never ever going to tackle.  It's my headcanon (as of my writing this) that the backlash and vitriol that fans sent Flash's way was SO literally acidic that it burned away his man-parts.  That's why you didn't see as much of him in subsequent films; he needed time to heal, both physically and emotionally.

I doubt it would happen, but it is always sweet and funny when she does that. Poor old Flash has got have somebody stick up for him, both in and outside the EG universe.

 

He seems to kinda want to get back with Sunset as well, so there's that. Plus Derpy is still background, and I doubt they'd elevate her to love interest of a side character (even if thats a very small role with how little Flash is used these days).
