Mark Hamill, on pony?

If this isn't a joke, then this is going to be interesting. If you want to see what I mean look at his TV career and scrolls down to the bottom of that, he is - according to this - slated to be a voice for season 7.

If not, check here:

It's not anywhere on IMDB, so take it with salt. It may be a ruse. But I'm just sitting here considering the implications.

This would be epic. O_O Hope it is true. Hamill has such a wide range but I feel like seeing him as a villain character would be immense. Imagine, Joker-style voice, in FiM. With Tara Strong being Harley and Batgirl, it would be doubly cool.

Of course that is speculation. I can say that I really hope this is true.

It's probably fake, but I'd be stoked if it was real

Only thing that could top this would be Peter Cullen and Frank Welker showing up

Apparently the edit that added him there was made twenty-one days ago - as of now. The running theory is if it were a ruse it would have been removed by now.

I'm leaving some cards on it being a ruse myself, but this is a fun thought.

If he does, that would be sweet!

Of course, they've also asked William Shatner to appear on the show, too.

I'll believe it when I see it, but either or both would be awesome.

My experience with IMDB is that they don't put anything up until the show in question is released, so it likely wouldn't be there whether it was true or not.

EDIT: Digging a little deeper, the person who added that to Wikipedia had several other things removed for having nothing to back it up with. I'm betting it's not true, but again, I'll believe it when I see it.

Not necessarily. Bob Newhart's page said he was going to be in the movie for 23 days (from October 4-27) before I saw it and removed it. The full cast has already been released and he wasn't in it, so it obviously was a hoax. So perhaps no one noticed or cared. I was going to do the same for Mark Hamill, but someone added [citation needed], so for now, I'm just going to leave it alone and see what happens.

I'm highly skeptical that this is true, but hey, it is speculation after all! That's part of the fun. :)

Since there are no sources i doubt it, unless Hamill himself added it. ^_^

He won't be happy until he is a voice in every cartoon show.

But even though I am suspicious of the credit, I would not be surprised in the slightest either.

It would be rather interesting. Who knows? He might use the Joker voice in it.

mark has a bit of a problem in that all of his VA work tends to sound kind of like the joker: His karaxis character in TMNT sounds like the joker despite him obviously trying to do a different type of voice for example.

Its kind of like how Steven blum tends to sound the same in all his roles.

It's probably just a dumb joke. I've never heard the name until now, but I don't think Hasbro or anyone working on the show would leak such information as a 1970's science fiction icon being involved in MLP.

>Not knowing Mark Hamil.

>Not knowing he's been in literally everything since the 70's.

I'm going to take this one with a grain of salt. If the information is indeed correct then this would definitely be a welcome surprise considering how great of a vocal talent Mark Hamill has since he went into voice acting in the 1980s. Of course, since Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, this could also be someone's idea of a prank. I'm leaning towards the former in that it'd be epic if he is going to be voicing a character, but again I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

He's way more than Luke Skywalker. Sure, he hardly live-acted after that movie, but he found a very successful career as voice actor as result. Voicing iconic characters throughout the years, like this guy:

If it's real he could be the voice of Starswirled the Bearded.

Yeah, I think he's perfect for Starswirl, as the journal suggested that he knows about Twi, and he MIGHT be still alive

Well he's friends with Tara Strong, so it wouldn't surprise me if voices a pony in Season 7 as a favour to her.
