New changling form

Can they still change though? None of the Changelings have actually been shown to change, and Queen Chrysalis is the only changeling to still have the old changeling form. The changelings are now "good", so there would be no need to change forms in order to deceive people.

 

It's a shame either way. I rather liked Thorax's pony form.

 

Love is one thing...but having to change your appearances is other thing. They can still have love even if they're ugly.

 

 

its their initial looks. QC is born with it, thus her offspring will too. It not like they can't help it by the way they're  turn out.

 

Thorax was able to be a normal changeling and a decent person. With any other changeling, they had to metamorphose first, then they were good. Why didn't Thorax change right away when he first learned to both give and receive love? Why was the metamorphosis necessary for the others? The only answer that makes sense is that perhaps changeling figures weren't selling well with the target demographic: little girls.

 

The opposite of this is Starlight Glimmer. She was beautiful and evil, and I loved that. She was also perhaps the mane-six's strongest foe, despite not being an alicorn or some kind of monster.

 

Now she's just misguided. Perhaps Hasbro didn't want to sell toys that could send the message that evil could look good... so let's just make her good, and let's make the reformed baddies look good too, because good always has to look good, and evil has to look evil, just so that there's no mistake that Hasbro isn't promoting the Dark Side as a viable choice with no physical consequences.

Exactly, if Thorax has been good at heart, he should have changed but didn't..until another "fim" power take over and change everyone's form who have a change of heart. as for the last part yeh..I'm  not surprised, since many companies beside hasbro done this all the time.

Yeah the old forms were better there was no need to change their appearance like that. Not sure how long the history of the changelings went but still makes no sense for Starlight an enemy of them to convince them they could suddenly up and change their ways. I mean there would be a lot of them still holding a lot of contempt for ponies after that last battle in Canterlot.

I would expect at least half of them still loyal to QC..that would make more sense.

I think it's OK, as it shows them as not so different than ponies, but still telling them apart by still giving them an alien look

I thought Thorax was really stylish in his new form, and I didn't have problems with any of them. I laughed when I saw them for the first time, as I thought, well here we go! MLP am I right? and then realized no one was laughing with me (no one in my head, since I am so lonely), so that got me quiet. I love them now! Just needed some time to adjust!
