Let's have a Verdun thread.

What's Verdun, you ask?

Verdun is an indie World War 1 title predating Battlefield 1 by something like two years. The game primarily revolves around a Frontlines style game-play. Together with their team - comprised of a number of squads - the players must attack and defend a sequence of positions across the battlefield in tandem. One team will begin with an offensive to take another team's trench in WW1 style. If the offense drags on beyond the allotted offensive time-frame, they must fall back and prepare a defense in their own trenches against the opposing team. A successful offensive push will result in the team on the offensive to assume positions for an enemy counter-attack.

Teams are divided between the Entente powers (Belgians, French, Canadians, British, Americans) and the Central powers (Germans). These are further broken down between their own unique squads the Canadian Guards, Chasseur Alpins, Poilus, Belgians, U.S. Marines, U.S. Doughboys and Tommies for the Entente and the Alpenjäger, Landser, Pionere,Schützen and Stoßtrupp for the Germans. Each squad brings to the table their own unique ability sets that can be leveled up during the session they're active in, while rewarding career points to the players which they can use to upgrade the soldiers in these squads on their own ends. Squads themselves are broken down into four unique class sets, often determined by the focus of that squad. The squad also has a leader, who offers buffs to his comrades so long as they are within his zone of command and can spawn near him if he has moved ahead of the designated spawn point; the commander can also call in mortar and gas attacks.

There are other game-modes, but Frontlines is the only thing to worry about.

So anyways, we need a pone squad. A 1st Canterlot Guard, if you will.

Holy cow I love that game!  I have put over 200 hours into it and have had it for 2 years as of December 25th this year although it has been in EA for at least a year before that.  It was a browser game about 7 years back if I remember correctly.

Not enough people for a Brony squad though, on the foums there was just me and another guy.  He even made an MLP thread in the off topic section and all it got was hate lol.  So many good memories from that game and it's community.  I'm not really involved anymore though, I got bored of the game and the community got overrun by cranky gamers who know next to nothing about WWI.
