Queen Minnie from Kingdom Hearts. My idea of what she'd look like if she got serious in a fight.

Awfully Dark-looking for a canonically Light-based attack, no?

Nice pic!  A.V. is right; that is a pretty dark image, but she's showing finesse and power; her expression is even a little loving, which is strange for an attack stance, but when you consider that it's probably against heartless, and releasing their hearts will probably allow the people they once were to be whole again, maybe the loving aspect of it becomes more understandable.

 

IIRC, she had a few light-based attacks that she used to help in a fight (mostly pearl-shaped seeker projectile spells), but for the most part she needed your help to survive.

 

Actually, if you press triangle while near her, it made for a pretty strong AoE attack.

Fair point. I tend to favor darker color schemes, but a brighter palate would probably have worked better

Trust me, there are WAY better artists on youtube that can show you how to do that kind of stuff than lil old me.

That attack is kind of what inspired the piece. I enjoy the idea that Minnie was just letting Sora Escort her to the throne because she wanted to give him an ego boost. We know from pressing triangle that Minnie had NO problem getting around the castle that was swarmed by heartless, and I have the distinct feeling that we weren't privy to the full breadth of her abilities, much like how Mickey is far more capable in cutscenes than he is being controlled by the player.
