Discord is the Grandpa of Fluttershy?

What if Discord was the Grandpa of Fluttershy? I think that it could make sense because in My Little Pony, they're best friends forever! Plus, I'd also think that the Mane Six would be shocked.

I of course am a huge supporter of Granddad Discord spending time with Fluttershy, but so many Bronies ship them that they will burn this place to the ground if it happened.

Luna & Celestia turned Discord to stone. This was before Luna became Nightmare Moon.  That was over 1000 years ago.  Discord might be a remote ancestor (it might explain her special abilities), but not a grandfather.

And that would explain why the statue was noticeably wet in certain spots one night in the past when Fluttershy's grandmother toured the garden, and why she was forever banned from the castle premises ever again. EVER.

And also makes Discord the victim in this scenario.

I doubt it. The show staffers seem to see them as romantic couple rather than a platonic family

 

Which should be obvious considering that their S6 finale blush can't be interpreted as something else than romantic if you analyze the context of it.

While many ships can't be proven to be really a "thing", in this case it is the anti-shippers who will need to accept that at some point just like they accepted Shining and Cadance.

Wife and a husband AS WELL as byfriend & girlfriend is also a family bond. That book referencing them as a family while they are clearly not blood related only implied more shipping in the future than really any sinking of the ship.
