Would you die of smoking or of obesity

I was memorizing some South Park episodes with Rob Reiner where he is anti smoking, its a running gag because he's eating all the time.

I think neither, i mean i have never smoked and never will do it because it doesn't attract me. But thats just what i would pick though, i just can't think of it as the greatest thing.

I'm highly against addictive products (except internet, and gaming) so I doubt I'd come anywhere near death because of smoking. I can't see my self dying of obesity either because of how small I'am, but it seems more likely than death by smoking.

I am not obese I don't think, but even still I would see me dying from that waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before smoking, the reason for that is because I absolutely HATE tobacco products, cigarettes especially. That stuff is a completely worthless poison and nothing more, so I will never touch it. Even if you eat an unhealthy, it still is a food at least that will keep you from starving so there is that.

Lmao I will probably die faster from diabetes then smoking and or obesity...

I eat so much sugar in a day is not even funnny... I am very allergic to smoke so i don't go near that kind of stuff and I make sure I stay in the gap between "just right and fat" and not go over to obesity (thats just gross to me)

I SEEN shows  where woman/men were over 300-500 pounds and couldn't do anything for themselves because they were that big.... THEY litterally had to have surgery.. blah

I have never smoked in my entire life and that will remain true for the remainder of my days. Dying from obesity on the other hand... I can actually see that happening to me if I continue my current path.

I think both of these are somewhat stupid things to die of. Smoking is just bad in general. I can see it for the older generation, since they saw it so much in movies and it was cool. But anymore, theres no excuse for it. It kind of smells too.

Obesity is even worse than smoking! Dying because you were too fat... thats just... why!? Stop eating so much! Go excercise! Whenever I get to about 180, I start clamping down on what I eat, and being more active, and I go back to 160 or so. Some people just stop caring and grow like balloons, but... yea I think they could come back from it if they really wanted to.

Well, I don't smoke and I never will - I see it as extremely pointless. It does nothing of value. However, I *do* eat a lot. I'm considered "skinny" but I certainly don't feel it when I try to put on cute clothes. I know, I know, that won't cause me to die of obesity, but it would happen before smoking because I don't smoke and never will.

What about second hand smoke, or breathing in chlorine from hot tubs?

I'm not around smokers in my life, and the last time I got in a hot tub was like... fifteen years ago - possibly even more? Not an issue for me. lol

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather die of slowly being fed through a meat grinder than obesity.

We're pretty slim in this family.

There are people of almost sixty year old, which look like 20. Because of our traditions.

Common sense doesn't allow them a valid argument, to harm one's health with addictive substances.

And despite my gluttonous tendencies, I remain fit due to a fast metabolism.

...Well, aren't I the odd one out. Considering my family history, I'm at risk for both. However, I'm most likely to die first of a heart attack brought on by a combination of Mountain Dew and smoking. Lung cancer is unlikely (my father smoked for 40 years and has the lungs of a 20 year old who's never touched a cigarette... I've been smoking for 8 years and still breathe just fine), so either way it'll end up being cardiac arrest.

Apologies, I enjoy smoking and currently have no plans to quit doing so. I'm not one of those "I'm trying to quit but just can't" types. I smoke, I enjoy doing so, and will continue to do so until I decide not to, at which point I will put them down and hopefully never pick up another one again. That choice has yet to be made, though, so we'll see.

Well also obesity is also dependent on your genetics as it's in certain families just like cancer is. It's like your body takes in almost all the fat you consume but refuses to burn it off. :)

what traditions are these?

Traditions which are not proper of good people. They don't care for others, either animals or humans. Everything is beneath their higher lineage.

Words they used to tell themselves, really. It's surprising that it actually worked for them.

Both scenarios are highly unlikely. There is no way I would ever smoke, nor am I around smokers. Therefore, it is more likely that I'd die from obesity. That being said, my metabolism would have to slow down considerably and I'd have to make major adjustments to my current diet and lifestyle.
