Smells that Disagree with You

What are some smells that you can't stand? I'm not talking about obvious stinkers like rotten foods and sewerage. But things that wouldn't bother most people, but do to you for whatever reason.

For me it's microwaved cheese, especially cheap cheese. If it's all melted as part of a bigger dish(pizza for example, or reheated spaghetti), it's fine. But just plain and overpowering is a no-go. It's just like smelling warm, left out milk.

I'm very sensitive to food smells. I'm so glad I don't have to share microwaves anymore, because the smells (among other things) gross me out. It's hard to think of specifics, but I can say melted cheese smells really nasty. I love eating it, but not smelling it.

Canned cat food is also one of the worst smells ever.

Cyanide lul.

Um, any smell from another person. For food seafood used to bother me but I was brave and gave it a try and it ain't bad, so not anymore. Hm, beer smells pretty lame, most people might think that though. Brussel sprouts? Idk lol.

i'm surprised to be the first person to say this, but cigarettes.

i have friends that smoke, and I put up with it in silence, but it is one of the most unpleasant smells to me.

i have to hold back a gag reflex.

nothing against smokers of course.

I have no idea why it has such a strong effect on me.

My father uses a certain cooking oil that I cannot stand the smell of. I am not sure what name it goes by, but few things bother my nose more than it. The thing is, the odor of it when it is used literally floods through the home so I really can't escape it unless I were to go outside.

I'm not sure how people are going to take this, but I've had anosmia ever since I was born.

So I don't really know how to answer this question.

Papaya, zuccini, certain colognies and perfumes are just plain unbearable for me. Plus, i smelled beer and wine on some ocasions and couldn't comprehend why some people love that stuff so much.

I've had to deal with a lot of disgusting smells as a dishwasher... feces, vomit, blood, mold, expired food, and just the smell the dishroom gave off... but the only smell that I know of that really gets to me... is cocktail sauce... I start gagging if I'm around that... its worse when the bussers spill that shit in the bus tubs. Cause I have to spray that out, and I quickly get overwhelmed by that smell. ... *shivers* makes me feel sick just thinking about it. Hopefully my promotion comes soon, so I can train to be a cook and not have to deal with that smell.
