The Disney Canon has many wonderful movies to choose from, some of which are less known than the Beauty and the Beasts or the Little Mermaids.

All Disney movies are overrated. The only good things Disney has produced are the ones that Pixar did most of the work on.

I've always been a fan of The Great Mouse Detective. I also enjoyed Robin Hood, Oliver and Company, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Rescuers Down Under.

 

Personally I'd have loved to have seen some of these make appearances in Kingdom Hearts.

The Rescuers Down Under comes to mind immediately. I also really enjoyed Oliver and Company, which doesn't get as much attention as some other films of its era.

Midnight Madness, The Barefoot Executive, ALL the Dexter Riley movies, The Black Cauldron, Apple Dumpling Gang, and the Love Bug. All good movies.

While it's true that Disney now owns it, they didn't at the time it was made. I don't think it'd be really right to call Tom and Jerry a Time Warner cartoon, though they technically own the rights to all the old MGM animations.

I would go with Princess and the Frog as being a pretty good movie that sadly doesn't get a lot of attention.

It did start off this whole new era of really great Disney movies with the likes of Wreck it Ralph, Frozen, Zootopia, and Moana and the likes, so I kind of wish it wasn't left in the dust.

There are actually a lot of Disney movies I think are underrated, but I've gotta mention Treasure Planet as I was reminded yesterday of how wonderful the movie was. There's also Atlantis, I loved the story and the action a lot when I was younger.

Whenever people are talking about underrated Disney movies I always think about Atlantis. I loved the movie so much!

For the animated films, the most underrated but excellent ones are Treasure Planet, Atlantis and Rescuers Down Under.

 

For the live action ones, the most underrated is The Black Hole.
