A friend and were having this discussion the other night, and were wondering what the sort of common consensus is. Do you like it when someone else tickles you?

Personally, I kinda like it when a friend tickles me to cheer me up a bit. My friend, on the other hand, absolutely hates it when someone even comes close! What do you guys think?

Ehh nah, I'd much prefer it if a friend gave me something like a back scratch, I am super ticklish is the reason why XP I can't stand it when someone tickles me >.<

I absolutely despise being tickled! If someone sneaks up and gooses me from behind, they can count on having my shoe print indelibly embedded upon their person. If the intent to tickle is made clearly known ahead of time, I will still make equally clear my intent to reciprocate with violence. A super-mild tickling may be tolerable, but even that is not advised. It just ain't a laughing matter.

It kind of depends on the nature of the tickler. I'm all for a good natured tickle fight if it's out of affection or close friendship, but don't try to randomly tickle me just because. I don't like being vulnerable unless I choose that shield to be down. And I'm kind of horribly ticklish if you know the right spot to strike...

>.>... Maybe. Fine you caught me. I'm super ticklish and I enjoy getting tickled. It doesn't run in my family to be ticklish but apparently I'm ticklish pretty much every where (except my arms -3-). However it comes with a cost, I only trust people I know and care for that can tickle me. Seriously, why on earth would I allow a random person to come tickle me if they didn't even know who I was? Exactly. So in conclusion.. Yes I'm ticklish but please don't hurt me >.<

I don't mind being tickled. Well, only if I have some sort of warning in advance ;) This one girl I'm close friends with occasionally baits me by acting like she's going to give me a hug... and then tickling me in my most ticklish spot. :P

Well, I am a sort of a Sensitive Stallion. That may sound like bragging, but its more curse then boon, I'd say. Considering I'm like 90% made of ticklish spots. Heck, I can even tickle myself, which I thought was one of them big mysteries of life. I know at least once I had someone I was holding grudges against that I just immediately dropped out of mind & started fawning once they scritched my head.

Depending on where you prod me the result can range from squeals, convulsions, cat or dog -like behavior or... anime-ted results... for, uh, lack of a better term!

A-and, U-uhm... Any attention is good attention, right?...

I hate being tickled... Not because I don't like the other person's display of affection towards me (if it's a close friend, of course), but actually because my entire body just rejects it. I just start flailing wildly trying to break free and more often than not, unconsciously punch and kick the attacker in the process... Even though they did deserve it in the end.

Not at all. I'm not very fond of excessive physical contact to begin with, so tickling is really off limits as the tickler could just as well end up accidentally hurt; I will try my best to flail and wiggle out of their reach. Speaking of 'best', my best friend is probably the only one that I don't mind being tickled by, because we don't see each other very often.

Umm, no, I don't usually enjoy it. I sort of panic when someone tickles me for too long, it's sort of... No? Don't do it. A once close person to me once tickled me for so long that I started crying, and it wasn't pleasant at all. I liked being tickled as a kid, I sort of had that thing with mom when she tickled me for not saying that she was the best in the world. She'd always ask me "Who's the best?" and I'd purposely say "...Me!" or anyone else I could think of, cause I knew she'd tickle me. That was fun! But I've sort of... Grown up thinking it's some kind of threat and it's just not nice. I also panic from "tickle attacks", haha.

Although, I do it on my girlfriend sometimes and that's just plain evil of me.

It would really have to depend on the person.  If you're someone I don't really know, don't touch me.  I kinda feel awkward when people I actually know touch me, I'm just not used to it.

I can't say that I enjoy being tickled all that much. I would tolerate it if someone close to me did it, but strangers and acquaintances...I'll pass. I used to have nightmares about monsters tickling the side of my neck as a kid, and even now, I am a bit sensitive about being touched there. :P

This is a rough approximation of my feelings after recovering from being tickled.

You'd better be one heck of a fast runner, because I will chase you down. To me, tickling is not pleasant. It's an involuntary response to outside stimuli that very quickly becomes painful for me. It takes less than ten seconds for me to beg for mercy while tears stream down my face. It becomes difficult to breathe and I can't do anything to fight back because my arms and legs might as well have the consistency of limp noodles when I'm laughing.

So... in short, I don't like being tickled in the slightest.
