Changing the background is the last thing I do on a new PC, after I've installed all the necessary programs. I'll still do it on the first day, though.

I keep it until I used Microsoft Edge to download Google Chrome which I then use to get a wallpaper.

I get rid of it as fast as I can. Customizing is the only thing that makes computers palatable, so a new desktop screen is one of the first things to go in. I don't even have a computer of my own, but I constantly change the desktop screen on my borrowed computer anyway. The actual owner of the computer can change it back to butterflies and cartoons when I give it back to her.

I don't even remember having a default wallpaper.  I immediately changed it to this picture.

One laptop was immediately due to window's default being a bright blue background(such a lovely sight at 2AM), new laptop hasn't changed as...I'm not really on the desktop and it's a dark background? And on my desktop it's still the default Windows 7 as...I can't find anything decent that looks good.

I was just thinking about this. Which is actually, really, really weird, and a little disturbing. But here it is. It is not the "default" desktop. But I have been using this one for eight years already.
