I'm not thrilled with the premise. I could be completely wrong, but her powers are based on her moods, but that sounds really sexist to me.

How are mood and gender linked? unless... shes going to... noononono not going there

You know what, i think i should go here a bit. i don't want to offend you or anything, but I think this is somewhat hypersensitive. One of the precepts of feminism is that the differences between men and women are all based on social constructionism, so really it should not be sexist by the logic. You can't have it both ways. Either the genders are different inherently, or they are the same and only different because of social constructionism

What I don't understand is why couldn't they put it on Discovery Family or Netflix.

Well as far as Discovery Family goes, it really doesn't have much going for it. At this point, MLP is probably the only thing it has going for it. Digital platforms would be a much better medium for Hanazuki.

Well, the premisis sounds nice. But I'm not a huge fan of the look of it. So I probably won't watch it.

Eh; I'm on the fence, though admittedly it's not that appealing from the onset. Granted FiM didn't either, so we'll see.

While the premise on it's own isn't sexist, it kinda goes back to the old idea of women being moody and, therefore, unstable. Not necessarily saying that is the case with this premise, but it has existed.

May sound hypocritical but I'm not big on kids cartoons. The idea sounds boring and I don't like the art style so I'm not interested in the slightest.

The thing is these stereotypes exist to a much lesser extent nowadays, if at all. 20 years ago, sure, they would have a point, but now it just feels... it feels like mountains out of molehills
