How about mlp forum app? For the mobile devices, to do better and comfortable chatting:D i guess, that is an idea... do you?

A mobile app would boost member count quite a bit, it sounds like the next big step I think. Although you can access the site relatively easily it would be nice to have a custom mobile app that was designed from the ground up to work fluently with a phone. Like when I wake up in the morning and wanna do a quick check of my messages on my phone, I can do this via the app. Or if I'm on the bus or train and travelling far I can talk to my friends  from the site, I think it'd be great.

This would be a great idea! the sites already on mobile a little bit, I have used it. The interface isn't as good online, but I think it's OK. It would be nice to have the option for push notifications and stuff though

I could see this working our in the long run. But it could be hard. Like the beginning could be a bit buggy just because of how many people would be on it. But it would make things a lot more easier for peeps who mainly use their phones..like I do lol.

I think this would be a wonderful idea! Maybe you could make servers for different locations for the app so it would be less likely to crash or maybe only load menus and each individual page at a time.

As much as I'd want it, it's not going to happen. At least not as it looks right now.

 

This has been asked by members since the beginning of time and and I'm pretty confident when I say it's the most requested thing in the Feedback & Suggestions section.

 

Basically, creating an app takes time, effort and resources, something we don't have enough of to finish the task. Staff on this site aren't employees, they work for free because they want to support the site. Therefore, we cannot put up a thousand bullets on their checklist unless we give them something in return. Not to mention that the tech staff (developers) of MLP Forums are just a few people. I don't even know if any of them has the knowledge of creating phone applications.

Best idea I EVER HEARD! but there are some things to consider 

1. How do we create the app?

2. Where will the money to make the app come from?

3. Publication on Play store and Apple store?

Something to think about.
