RP is here: https://mlpforums.com/topic/162234-tartarus-where-all-the-bad-ends-meet-villain-rp/

Now this RP is based around Tartarus of course, and I hope no one else has done this, anyway Tartarus is the black abyss below Equestria where all who are evil are sent, to suffer for eternity. I am making a Villain RP based on it but adding personal flare to make it more RP material.

There are varying cell types in the HUGE expanse of this 'Hell', the cell type is based around what exactly the creature locked up there did. The image abive is Central Tartarus, for all who are the most vile and evil, Lord Tirek of course being the centrepiece here.

Now your villain is in the Central Lock up of Tartarus, similar to that of Cell Blocks in Prisons, this gives the flexibility of villains socialising properly and being able to do simple tasks around the areas in Tartarus when allowed by the Guardians here, they are towering steel clad ponies in similar size to Cerberus himself.

I will of course attempt to flush out as much as I can before I post the actual RP but the simple idea is, you are a villain themed OC, or just a bad OC in general, sent to Tartarus, and must try and escape without catching wind from the Guardians or Cerberus, simple enough right?

Normal RP rules apply of course, no controlling others OC's, no sexual stuff, all that guff that everyones seen before.

Just send your OC page and state why they are incarcerated in Tartarus, what their abilities are, only state a few if more then one, and if they are in need of a special kind of cell or not (The Bugbear is the best example of a special kind of cell as his cell is a lot taller with a few trees for it to nest)

Here is my application:

King of the Void, in my signature.
In Tartarus for being a tyrant ruler, attempting to overthrow several towns of ponies and replace them with Changelings from his Hive.
Abilities of extreme shapeshifting magic far more powerful then the normal Changeling, can also drain ALL kinds of emotion to render a pony not just loveless but emotionless too.

This looks SO, SO AWESOME. Would LOVE to do this, especially with a certain OC I have an idea for, but I currently don't have one that would work for this. -_- Oh well, I shall stand in a corner and watch the roleplay take place.

@@Chrylestia600,

Of course if you do it tell me, I don't mind if you do, for once I like being a Mod XD I can decide whatever I want haha XD

@@Spellvamp,@, @@Pripyat Pony,

I hope the RP isn't too weird for you guys, what with a Dragon ruler, armoured pieces of lifeless steel and other things, I had to make the whole RP kinda work as a prison in many aspects so guards and a warden were required but I hope it's still enjoyable ^^

Interesting...it's been a while since I had a chance to roleplay one of my favorite characters :P  If you would follow the link in my description and look at Carnelian Clout, that is whom I'd like to bring in!

@The Cerberus, Hmmm, depends, tell me what The Mask can do?

@@Handsome Changeling

It has basic magical abilities of weak/average unicorn(basic attack, etc.) It can take full control of creatures that aren't strong enough to resist it(or who put it on themselves), and after destruction it will fix itself with time. It moves by floating/flying.

@@Divine_Heart,

Of course you can, just be careful with who you create cus rainbow powered demon lords and such, won't be accepted XD

Nope. Not my thing.

Name: Arcana

Aliases:

-The Traitor

-The Deceiver

-The Jester (Admire)

-The Fool (Disgust)

Appearance:

Arcana is a young stallion pony that stands to be about the average size for his age. His build is nothing extravagant to the next pony his age as he has a dark black coat adorns his body, and his wildly white mane is untamed by anything but the layers of clothing he wears which is where his true captivating features lie. His body is submerged under layers of brown clothing: a ragged black coat that runs to his front lower shoulder blades and adorns it all the way to his hind. It buttons at the front in order to have the collar cuff to his lower muzzle, mostly coveting his mouth, until he lowers his head to reveal his pretentious, cocky smirk.

Another feature is Arcana’s flank is covered by his cutie mark.  It rarely is seen because of how his body is covered by his clothing. However, the true ominous feature of Arcana is his head is covered by a rounded lid hat with goggles just above the brim. His eyes are always seething with hues of red, green, and black as it demonstrates how his nature has been tainted with dark magic. His horn, colored the same white as his body, is covered by his hat; causing for his body to be adorned in a black aura along with a deck of thirteen cards that are always floating about him – and another eight cards seem to be in a deck case on the right side of his hanging coat.

Cutie Mark

The cutie mark of Arcana is the symmetrical crown of a jester. However, this crown is half red and half black. Due to its appearance (which seems simple) stands for duality. It could be good or evil, dark or light, and even indecision. Reflecting Arcana’s nature, the duality of the crown is mostly a representation of how pony-nature is so fickle, simple, and delicate – including his own as he often gets lost in his own philosophy.

Personality

“I know what you are doing: You keep coming down here, handing me journals, scrolls, and stories. You are trying to rehabilitate me for the good of Equestria – because there was nothing like the great and superior philosophy of THE Arcana. However, the cards are no longer of service to Equestria…and they never will be…ever again!“

Arcana is an egotistical illusionist that relies on Dark Magic to do his bidding. However, he was not always like this. Arcana’s nonchalant attitude is the result of his inevitable fate after trying to manipulate Equestria Magic to his bidding. A brilliant study on the mind, Arcana is very good at knowing how ponies think, calculate, and strategizes. However, even if he is driven by his arrogance and hunger for knowledge, it is inevitably those very same traits that cause him to question his moral; a lingering honor within him.

When it comes to war, Arcana is probably one of the biggest criminals in history…to the losing side that is. Arcana was a strategist pony for most battles and worked alongside many infantry units. He was known for using his science in order to predict wind direction, sediment strength, and also predict natural phenomena. One example was his ability to predict to set fires to one village and use the southern winds to scatter the flame sand embers to draw out enemies and disrupt formations. The timing was so accurate, it was thought that it was on par with Alicorn magic. However, Arcana is just observant and loves to learn.

Arcana’s lust for knowledge is what drives him to keep experimenting and learning! He often stirs up warfare when there is none present. As a respected figure when it came to battle, nations would believe him on merit and being called a hero, while in reality he lived simply to keep chasing his pursuit of learning how to plot, plan, and learn the “Art of War.” Arcana strongly believes in this concept, and thus keeps striving to pursue his dream of being the ultimate authority in battle.

Arcana does not keep friends, nor has interest. Because of his personality, Arcana usually gives little to no thought on what it means to keep others close to him. Without his family, perished as sworn soldiers, Arcana was driven to keep improving on being the ultimate strategist to make sure no one close would die in war. However, this became irrelevant as his ideas became twisted: that inevitably everyone dies, and so it done no good to become stronger to preserve lives other than his own.

Thus, in doing so, Arcana’s love for strategy and battle are the things he cares for most.

Abilities

Dark Equestrian Magic - Arcana’s Equestrian Magic and skills allowed him to create hollow illusions by “Sleight of Hoof.” However, with Dark Magic fueling his original abilities, his “Sleight of Hoof” becomes “Dark Deception.” The joy of seeing a loved one becomes a nightmare of them aging and decaying before one’s very eyes, the lust for power becomes a delusional dream that never ends, and not to mention a victory becomes short lived as one wakes up to realize they lost everything before their eyes. Just with a swipe of the hoof towards the pony before Arcana, he alters the perception of a “fate” causing for someone to be hypnotized by a temporary fantasy.

A powerful skill, “Dark Deception” causes the victim to be entranced for ten seconds (the longer ten seconds they will experience) while Arcana performs a dirty deed (stealing, taking in the environment to ensure his victory, ending their lives if he wanted to), but usually he does not do more than simply plot and stop the victim’s perception to humiliate them or lure them into a trap. Arcana loves nothing more than to win and make his opponent seem to look like an inferior fool. Usually used by flashing a card before the user’s eyes so they may not see him use his hoof to enchant the victim.

Strategist - A Jester or a Fool, Arcana plays one or even both. Usually, he feigns ignorance in order to lull his victim into a false sense of confidence or assurance. The joy comes when he takes it away by revealing the illusion he cast or the trap he has set. This skill was mostly used when he had no Dark Magic, and instead focused simply on using his magic to defend the people and cause ponies to surrender when seeing just how pointless it was to battle against his superior intellect and strategy. At first, used to preserve life, now used to lure them to doom.

Background

Arcana’s family were of royal blood. Foundations of the Equestrian Army, meant to fight the battles that only the mightiest could fight. Black Ace and Diamond Queen were naturalist Equestrian soldiers that met on the front lines, raised a family as militia, and perished trying to teach their son about honor as they went through life fighting battles. Arcana, young and admirable, had watched all of those battles to the very end.

Arcana admired his family very much! He wanted to be an Equestrian soldier as well, fighting for the good of the entire world, but ended up trying to understand the glory of “Death” during battle. In the end, Arcana did not understand. It was frightening! It scared him! And so, Arcana strived to learn the “Art of War” to preserve life whenever he could. So, thus began the dark seed that blossomed into a wicked flower of war that would be “Arcana the Traitor.”

Arcana studied on end about Equestria’s greatest battles throughout history. He would read and write about some of the most grandest strategies by the Equestrian Militia. He even studied tactics used by Pegasi Ponies and Earth Ponies, finding joy how to move troops like pawns on the battlefield. However, unlike pawns, Arcana valued every piece on the battlefield as if they were Kings and Queens: the most vital pieces and the ones that were meant to be protected. Soon, he perfected his art as Arcana not only became a strategist known for winning battles, but minimizing the loss of life.

Overtime, peace had started to come and go in Equestria, and Arcana had become restless! His paranoia had gotten the best of him as he wandered to those he was loyal to, just how long peace would last. Thus, Arcana had begun to age, and grow more restless…and soon…desperate! Arcana had begun to conspire against other nations in order to stir battles and more war. In doing so, it gave him the chance to spar and cause for more war and conflict where he would give strategies not to just his ruler, but the other side as well. In his eyes, it was like playing chess with himself, and he simply watched every moment unfold as war emerged.

Arcana, satisfied with this mock battle, had begun to repeat this pattern…but as age caught up to him even more, he became more desperate as he used Dark Magic and spells to not only reinvigorate his body, but also increase his magic illusions he used with cards. Arcana, rejuvenate by Dark Magic, started to live for centuries, but at the same time, had also begun to become more twisted with time.

Eventually, those who questioned the endless wars in Equestria wondered: “Why were these battles to rampant?” Arcana, suspected, was unmasked as he was revealed to be a traitor to Equestria, but even when revealed as so, he arrogantly argued that the world of Equestria needed war! They need battles! They needed to acquire knowledge and experience in fighting in order to breed the perfect army that would not be at risk of losing loved ones!

In the end, Arcana was deemed to have gone mad! His paranoia and thirst for knowledge through war and bloodshed had driven him to be dangerous to the world. His Dark Magic was so potent, it caused him to be a task to capture as he had even twisted the perception of others to fight among themselves, and prompting for him to be sealed away in the only timeless realm where his magic would have to outlast an eternity of being captive: Tartarus.

Sealed here, Arcana goes by the name “Jester” by the vilest and “Fool” by those that detest him for tying up the loves of loved ones in his endless pursuit for knowledge. Either way, he still spouts his twisted philosophy while being visited on the basis by ponies wishing to rehabilitate the effects dark magic have on him – wishing that his knowledge would once again save lives instead of doom them.
