As Celestia's sun slowly rose in the air, a new day had just begun in Ponyville. As the morning train to Ponyville slowly came to a stop, a blue unicorn, carrying a yellow saddlebag on his back, carefully steps off the train. After making sure he didn't forget anything on the train, he makes his way into the bustling town. He moves his head from side to side, taking in the view of the buildings and ponies alike that are either visiting or living there. 

 

Looking around he tries to find the mayor's office from what his old manager had told him before coming to Ponyville. "I hope I'm going in the right direction." He nervously and quietly said to himself, as he wanders aimlessly throughout the town. With no luck in finding the mayor's office, he decided to put the search on hold for a while. He felt his stomach rumble in hunger, as he tries to find a place to eat.

Looking around he tries to find the mayor's office from what his old manager had told him before coming to Ponyville. "I hope I'm going in the right direction." He nervously and quietly said to himself, as he wanders aimlessly throughout the town. With no luck in finding the mayor's office, he decided to put the search on hold for a while. He felt his stomach rumble in hunger, as he tries to find a place to eat.

Not far from where the Mayor's office were, there was a small bakery called Sugarcube corner. While some think it might be made of Sugarcubes or candy, no one has really tried except Pinkie Pie herself. Inside was welcomed by the smell of delicious yet appetizing food ponies love eating. It was quite busy today so it was pretty crowded in Sugarcubes Corner. Especially for one made who was waiting for her smoothie.

 

A purple Pegasus with blue and yellowish green hair was waiting for her strawberry smoothie. She had been waiting ever since she first ordered so it was pretty annoying to wait. She sighed, shaking her head and doubting her order would ever come to her. "W-Wow.. There's a lot of ponies waiting for their orders yet.. Pinkie is taking her time. That's unusual for her.. What happened to her and her fast skills? Well.. I guess I wouldn't blame her.. It is only sunrise after all.." she yawned, stretching her wings and back from waiting.

After a few minutes of looking around, a smell wafted through the air and passed in Dynamo's direction. After getting a good sniff, he smiles and follows the source of the smell. His search lead him to a building that looked to be a gingerbread house with a cupcake on top. He looks at the title and smiles brightly. "Sugarcube corner, huh? At least it sounds like a place that sells food. Hopefully it can help quiet my rumbling stomach." He took off running at full speed towards the eating establishment. He could see a line of ponies, but ignored it and kept on running. He attempts to slow down to a stop, but trips and starts to lose his balance. His eyes shrank in fear while thinking this wouldn't end well for him. "Excuse me, everypony! Out of the way! I'm passing on through!" He shouting causes the others ponies to move out of his way, but it still didn't help him stop from falling forward.

 

He lands on the welcoming mat, as he and the mat slid into the store! "Look out everypony! I can't stop!" He shouts in hope that he wouldn't crash into anyone while on his wild and crazy ride.

Serenity wasn't really paying attention on what's going on. She was still waiting for that darn smoothie to come. "Number 89!" Pinkie's voice chirped out, grabbing the pegasus's attention. She look at her number to finally see it was indeed Number 89. "Finally! I've been waiting too long for this to come!" she said happily before making her way to Pinkie Pie. "Your Smoothie Serenity!" Pinkie said in her happy, carefree voice. "O-Oh! Thank you Pinkie! S-say.. What took so long for my order to come?" she asked, not noticing the voice telling everypony to move out of their way. "We ran out of milk so I had Mrs Cake to go pick it up from the far, but they said it wasn't there yet. So she went back to tell the farm owner that we really neeeeed the milk! He didn't take no for an answer so he started to shout at his worker for being too slow and yea!" Pinkie explained, suddenly spotting the stallion. "Also! If I were you.. I think you might want to move.."

Dynamo's eyes shrank as he saw a Pegasus not hearing his warning. Without warning he slams into the lone Pegasus as keeps sliding on the mat. He brings the Pegasus with her as the soon come to a stop at the nearby wall. Dynamo hit the wall first as he then felt the Pegasus slam into him. He heard something shatter onto the ground as he tries to gather his bearings. "Ugh...did anypony get the number of that taxi, huh?" He shakes his head to shake the cobwebs away. He rubs the back of his head with his hoof to relieve himself of the incoming headache. He looks around to see the ponies in the bakery looking at him funny. He smiles sheepishly, before replying, "I'm sorry about that e-everypony. I was running and I didn't watch where I was going."

 

He looks to see the Pegasus still on the ground and runs to help her up. He then notices a shake on the ground next to the pony. He gasps and gives her an apologetic look, while extending his hoof to her. "I'm truly sorry about that. Like I said, I wasn't watching where I was running. I think I ruined your shake. I can get you a new one, if that's okay. Again I'm sorry and I hope you can forgive me." He looks away and making circles on the ground with his back hoof.

Serenity's eyes went small as she was grabbed by a unicorn that was getting close to the wall. "W-WOAH!!!" she shouted, suddenly hitting him and falling onto the floor. "Ughhh.. I-I knew I needed to stay in bed today.. W-where.. Huh?" The Pegasus got her focus back as she heard him talking to the ponies who were watching the unusual event. Ponies were giving her glares and looks of You should of moved you egghead!. She sighed, grabbing the floor to try regain her balance so she could stand up again. Suddenly, she noticed her shake spilt, causing her eyes to tear up. "M-My smoothie! 7 bits wasted and onto t-t-the floor.." she sniffled, looking over at the apologetic stallion.

 

"Y-Y-You better get me a n-new one! I-I-I had to wait 1 hour j-just for my s-s-shake!" she said angrily before realizing what she had said to him was indeed extremely rude of her. "I-I'm.. Sorry.. I-I-I didn't mean to lose my temper.. I-I just wanted to g-get my shake and go but.. It's very.. Hard waiting for a smoothie since things happen.. U-ugh.." she apologized, looking away from him and stroking the back of her neck awkwardly.

"I-I understand and you shouldn't apologize. I was the one at fault for making you drop the smoothie. I-I hope getting you a new one will be able to make up for it. I'm not a fan of waiting myself, but I try my best to be patient. I'm guessing it's been a long wait for the smoothie, huh? Let's just blame it on a long and drawn out morning." He stutters a bit before chuckling and smiles. "What kind of smoothie was it and can the treat be made quickly?" He then extends his hoof out to her while giving the pony a kind smile. "I'm sorry, but where are my manners? My name is Dynamo Pad, but you can call me Dynamo. It's nice to meet you, Miss...?

Serenity felt afraid from all the glares and shouting ponies were giving her. She felt like if this is the end of her life and she just humiliated herself infront of ponies. Her attention was quickly grabbed as he asked her name. "U-U-Um.. It's S-Serenity.. S-Serenity Crescent.. I-it's nice to meet you Dynamo.." she replied shyly before smiling at him slightly. "I-it was a strawberry smoothie with extra blue berries in it.. I have it every second Tuesday so.. I know when I need it. Also.. T-thanks for the offer.. I-I could use s-s-some company since.. P-ponies.. Are glaring at you and I.." she shivered. Her mood was soon cheered up a bit by his chuckling, making her giggle in response. "Y-Yea.. M-My brother will probably think I r-ran into some crazy stallion w-who wanted to steal m-my bits. He's always like that" she replied, her smile was starting to increase more into a shy yet friendly smile. "S-Say.. I haven't seen a-any pony like you.. Around.. Dynamo smiles as he shakes her hoof. "It's nice to meet you Serenity. I'm getting myself something to eat, so I don't mind getting you your smoothie." He says as he looks at the other ponies glaring at Serenity. He narrows his eyes slightly as he stood in front of her. "Don't you all have something better to do, than to glare at my friend? It was a complete accident and I shouldn't have been running. Just mind your own business and leave us alone, okay!?" He shouts before turning to face the shy Pegasus. He then gives Serenity a soft smile, before replying, "I'm sorry about that and are you okay? I know I said friend, but we just met each other. I just don't like it when others hurt and/or mess with my friends. Maybe we can find a table and get to know each other, if that's okay. We should probably get our orders, huh?" He chuckles while heading over to the counter.

 

"I don't have any siblings myself, but I can understand where you're coming from. I think it's sweet and he's doing his job of being a protective big brother. To answer your question, no actually. I'm originally from Fillydelphia and just moved here today. I've been trying to find the mayor's office, but haven't had much luck." He says while rubbing his hoof through his mane in embarrassment. "How about you? Do you live in Ponyville, or are you just visiting. Also, is Ponyville your original home, or have you lived somewhere else?"

The ponies who were doing such rude things to Serenity saw how angry he was, immediately backing off from him. Serenity watched them back off scared before looking over at Dynamo with a soft smile. "I-I'm okay.. Just thankful t-that you defended my side from those ponies. A-also, That sounds pretty good. A-After we get our o-o-orders, we c-can go sit down and c-chat. I-I apologize if I stutter t-too much.. I-I'm pretty.. Shy around ponies that I don't know.. E-e-especially you.. Eheheheheh.." she giggled awkwardly before shaking her head at his remark. "Protective big brother? m-more like.. Insane l-little brother. H-he was originally adopted by m-my parents b-before they.. Kicked me out.. A-and he's my little b-brother. H-His name is Ethan a-and he loves to play video games.. Especially one with c-cat girls in it"She explained before nodding her head in agreement

 

"Also yes. I d-do live in Ponyville. I-I've been living h-here for more than.. 5 years I believe.. A-also.. The mayor's office? T-that's in the center o-of Ponyville! Mayors Mare is h-her name.. But.. That's besides m-my explanation. I-I used to live in Cloudsdale b-but.. Things h-happened, causing m-me to move.." she replied, following him to the counter.

Dynamo chuckles and nods at her remark. "You don't have to thank me. Some ponies are just plain rude. I just won't stand for innocent ponies to be picked on or singled out for something they didn't do. I understand what you mean. I'm a little nervous when getting to know somepony new, but I'm learning to be a little more confident in myself. P-Plus, I think that stuttering is kind of cute." He looks away and chuckles slightly, as a blush formed on his muzzle. He shakes his head from side to side to erase the blush. He turns his head back towards Serenity as his eyes widened in wonder. "So, you're the big sister in the family, huh? I'm guessing when you say insane that he is a little hyper? I feel most ponies are like that at a young age. Probably the parents giving us too much sugar."

 

He laughs at his own joke while shaking his head. "That's pretty awesome that Ethan loves video games. Maybe it could be his talent one day. That's if he hasn't gained his mark yet. I don't know why, but that game sounds familiar. Would you happen to know the title of it, by any chance?" He place a hoof on his forehead and sighs. "I think I passed that a few times while looking around. Maybe you and I can go to the mayor's office. I need to finalize some documents so I can live here. My old boss in Fillydelphia said I can have his vacation home as a real home." He then looks at her with care and concern written in his eyes. "You said you lived in Cloudsdale before getting kicked out. Did...something happen that had to make you leave? If you don't feel like talking about it, I completely understand." He says as the pair stood before the counter. He sees a pink earth pony with a pink mane and tail.

 

"Can I please get a strawberry smoothie with extra blueberries in it? Can I also get a chocolate cupcake and a vanilla milkshake, please? How much will that be, miss...?" He asks while getting his bits out of his saddlebag.

Pinkie looked at them and smiled. "Welcome to Ponyville Dynamo Pad~! Also that cupcake, smoothie and Milkshake will cost you about.... 11 bits please~" she sang out in her cheerful tone. "Say.. I have never seen you around here! Are you from Fillydelphia because your boss offered you his vaction home in Ponyville?" She asked, making Serenity giggle.

 

"Don't worry about her.. She has this.. 'Pinkie Logic' thing that makes her know everything about everypony so it's normal.. A l-little"She said before getting out 11 bits from her pocket. "A-Also.. T-thank you.. I-I didn't know m-my s-s-stuttering was c-cute. N-normally Ethan w-w-would say "Shut up!" O-or something.. Sometimes I-I wonder I-if he was treated well as a-a baby.." She felt her cheeks go red as she looked away from Dynamo. The mare let some time to think it through before her blush disappeared, turning her attention back to him. "Y-Yea, I-I am the b-b-big sister of my f-family.. B-but we get along.. S-sometimes when he isn't playing his games o-or chatting w-w-with friends" she replied, looking down at the ground as he asked her about her past.

 

"I-it's.. Complicated but.. When I was y-younger.. I was.. Taken t-to the orphanage b-because my parents d-d-didn't love m-me.. A-a-and.. I-I had to s-spend nearly m-my whole life there.. N-no one w-wanted to adopt m-me or.. H-heck.. Love me.. S-so.. I-i h-had to take care o-of myself when I got out.. I-i was only 14 at that time.. I-i-i was referred to as.. "The Shy One" or just chicken.. S-so.. I l-left Cloudsdale and c-came to Ponyville to live o-on m-my own.. Until I was 16... I adopted E-Ethan because.. He felt so afraid, Scared and unloved.. J-just like me.. I-I knew he and I were meant t-to be siblings.. B-but.. Things h-has changed.. I-I try giving him all of m-my love b-but he just shrugs I-it off like I-it's not big deal.." Right now, tears were steaming down her cheeks as she tried to forget about her past. "I-I-I'm sorry.. I-I don't mean to be a c-cry baby.. B-but.. What he p-plays is.. N-Neko..para.. I think"

Dynamo chuckles at Pinkie's cheerful nature and nods, as he gets out the amount of bits. He places the 11 bits on the counter and adds two bits to the mix. "Is it okay if you make that two chocolate cupcakes. I think my friend here might want one." He watches as Serenity starts to take her bits out of her purse and stops her. "Don't worry about paying. I owe you for the smoothie and I want to pay for it." He looks back as his jaw drops from Pinkie's guess. He looks back to question Serenity, but shrugs his shoulders and nods at the reasoning. He blushes again, but nods, before replying, "She seems like a pony who is very random, but knows more than she's letting on. I don't think I want to question her 'Pinkie Logic.' Also, you're welcome. You just got to find the right ponies who like everything about you, faults and all. I'm glad that you and your brother get along. I get that sometimes siblings have their little arguments here and there, but it's nice to know you both care for one another."

 

His eyes shrank slightly as he listens to Serenity's past. He could feel his hooves start to shake as he watches her begin to cry. He quickly pulls the Pegasus close to him and wraps her in a hug. He uses one hoof to pet her mane, while the other hoof to rub her back gently. "Shh...it's okay. Please don't cry. Just let it all out. I'm not going anywhere." He looks to Pinkie and nods to her while helping Serenity over to an open table. After helping her in a seat, he places his saddlebag in one of the empty chairs. He then sits next to her and wraps his arm around her. "I-I'm really sorry to hear that. Nopony should ever have to go through that in their lives. I felt like nothing mattered until I learned to stand up for myself. That was only after constant bullying when I lived in Fillydelphia." He frowns but chuckles a little. "I can tell you are loved, Serenity. I know it sounds weird, b-but I love you because you are an awesome pony. I hope I can be your friend and show you that you don't have to feel alone." He uses his hooves to help wipe her tears away. "I'm sorry your brother acts like that. It might be because of how your parents treated him. It's a relief you were able to get him to live with you. Maybe he'll change in time, but I'm honestly not sure."

 

His eyes lit up at the mention of the video game. "I heard of that game. I know it's being made into an anime really soon and it looks cute. On that note, what are some things you like and dislike?"

Pinkie nods and smiles happily. "Oooooo~! Two chocolate cupcakes, one Smoothie and milkshake coming up!" She sang happily before bouncing away into the kitchen happily. She looked around for the milk and found it on top of her head surprisingly. "That's where it's been! Silly milk!" She giggled, pouring the milk into the blender. With a hum, she tossed in the strawberry syrup, blue berries and a pinch of sugar into the mix. Once everything was sorted for the strawberry smoothie, Pinkie turned on the blender with a touch of her hoof. Silly noses were heard from the distance as the liquid started to blend together. While the smoothie was still mixing, Pinkie just had finished preparing the Milkshake for Dynamo. "Do you know what's weird? I know everypony names yet I have never met them. It's confusing.. Too confusing. Eh! Oh well~" she sang to herself, tossing the ingredients into a second blender and turning it on. "Hmmm.. What was the other thing they requested? Oh right! Chocolate muffins!" She reminded herself, jumping back out to the food shelf and grabbing the two muffins that were on display. Immediately she bounced back into the kitchen to get the drinks into their containers in no time at all. Finally.. The drinks were ready to go.

 

Meanwhile.. Serenity was still sobbing with Dynamo hugging her. She couldn't stop nor speak since her past was so cruel to her life. After 2 minutes of sobbing p, she wiped her tears away to look at him. "I-I'm sorry f-f-for acting l-like a baby.. I-it's just.. M-m-my past wasn't acceptable a-a-a-and I-I suffered m-many e-e-events" she said inbetween sniffles."A-Also.. I-i-it's okay.. I-it's not your f-fault I-I'm like this. For m-many years.. I-I had to fight m-my own path.. M-my own f-freedom b-but m-my self c-confidence is.. Tiny.. W-without m-my father or m-mother besides me.. M-my life was all a b-big lie.. I-i lost many fights.. B-broke many bones.. G-g-got punished f-for n-n-nothing at all..b-bullied multiple t-times and.. L-lets just say.. I-i was a h-huge outcast.. D-Dynamo? C-Can.. I tell you something.. Personal? T-t-that has been with me e-ever since I was s-small? I-I-I-I understand if you don't.. I-I gave you too much information to p-process.. M-m-maybe I'll tell you t-tomorrow w-w-when my mood h-h-h-has cheered up." Serenity felt her cheeks go red but she shook it off quickly since she didn't feel like admitting things.. Especially about her past. Normally it's only a tiny little issue to talk about but.. Something big as her past is a huge issue she has to make on her own. "I-I'm hoping so.. I.. Just want to feel.. Loved.. Isn't that one wish that I-I could have on my own? T-to feel like a-a-a special mare and making all m-my memories seem l-l-like trash. O-oh who am I kidding? I'm j-just.. Too sensitive.. A-afraid and u-u-unloved.. Y-you don't know w-what I had to g-go through.. N-no pony does.." she said, trying her best not to cry.

 

Her mood started to lighten up as he mentioned the video game to her. "Y-y-y-yea. I-I heard it was quite c-cute with those ears, tails a-and the way they talk.. J-just watching it m-makes my heart pound in cuteness. A-also.. I-i like Animals, gardening, flying, taking care of fillies/colts, looking at nature, swimming sometimes, games, listening to music is a definite o-one and.. I-I guess I-I love the movies"

Dynamo listens intently at Serenity's history. He frowns and hugs the pony tightly in his embrace. "You're not a crybaby, Serenity. You went through a lot in your life and you tried to remain strong. I find that brave and very commendable of you. Even though you went through so much, you tried to persevere through it all. Nothing you say or do will change how I think of you. Yeah it may have gotten off on the wrong hoof, but I can tell you are a sweet, kind and caring mare. A mare that I would truly be happy to call my friend. You can tell me tomorrow. Take the time you need to tell me. I promise I'm not going anywhere and I'm not leaving you. I don't want to push you into talking about something that makes you feel uneasy." He offers her a soft smile and nods while nuzzling her. "I understand how you feel and I want to find true friends and true love as well. I might not know how you feel, but what happened may come close to it. I was picked on for not having a cutie mark and my magic control was pathetic. My bullies always found a way to make me feel like a useless pony. I remember always coming home crying after school. It wasn't until I found my talent in video games and defeating my bullies, that I was able to stand up for myself."

 

He wipes a stray tear that had fallen down his muzzle. "I'm sorry about that. To be honest, I haven't talked about that in a long time. It's been years since I remembered my past, but I'm okay." He chuckles as he listens to her happily explain the video game. "I think it's the cuteness of the game is what makes ponies buy the game. That, or it might have a nice well written story. I love cats and foxes too. I've always wondered what it would be like to have them as a pet." He nods at her choice of likes. "That's a nice and interesting list you've got there. For me, I like anime, video games, reading, sweets, music, swimming, singing, movies and spending time with others."

 

He glances to the counter to see their order was finished. He pulls out of the hug and walks up to the counter. He takes their order and smiles. "Thank you Pinkie. I really do appreciate these sugary treats." He takes the food and drinks in his magical grasp and walks back to the table. He places everything down gently and brings the cupcake near him. "Here you go and I hope you enjoy, my friend." He says before taking a bite into the cupcake. He sighs happily at how tasty the cupcake was.

Serenity's eyes went wide as she got pulled into a tight hug. Officially this was the first hug she had ever got from a stallion her age or similar to her. She felt her problems go away as she closed her eyes to enjoy the pleasant moment. I don't want this moment to ever end.. It feels like heaven.. F-finally.. I'm getting a hug from what I've been through.. I-im so happy.. Her breathing was starting to slow down into a normal routine. After 2 minutes of calming herself down, she looked up at him. "D-Do you think so? I-I mean I am extremely sensitive to things a-a-and I stutter a lot.. L-like I'm doing right now. B-but in just g-glad you see me a-as a normal, h-happy mare than others" she replied, wiping the remainder of her tears away from her face. "I find my cutiemark b-boring and u-u-u-unspecial.. I-it's just a curse o-of my childhood.. A-a scar of my deepest fears.. C-coming to haunt m-m-me forever.. S-sorry.. B-but at least you stood up f-for yourself when y-y-you got your cutiemark.. I-I was still the same.. I mean.. I-I still try to defend myself most of the t-time.. B-but then p-ponies tease me a-a-about my glasses, color of m-m-my eye- No! S-Serenity.. Don't go r-rambling about your p-past again! He'll just think you're making t-this up! U-U-ugh.. Sorry if I ramble.. A lot.. I-I haven't had a good week and I-i just needed some pony to h-help me.. A-anyway. I-I'm happy y-you made it out in the e-end.." she replied.

 

She nods, shifting her glasses onto her muzzle so they won't fall. "I-i see.. M-maybe we can s-see about it later.. A-anyway.. Anime? I-I heard of that word before.. I-I-I watch some at home and h-have a good number of figurines in my room.. B-but my brother j-judges me for them.. I-I have n-n-no idea why but.. He does that sort o-of thing w-where if i have m-more stuff that him, he c-can judge me for having too m-much.. N-not to mention h-he's extremely b-bossy to me." she said, a soft sigh was escaping her mouth. "Also.. I-I would l-love to own a fox or a cat one day.. They're e-extremely cute! J-just the looks on their faces can c-cheer up a whole town! It's t-too bad t-they cost too much.. Also we k-kinda have a lot of common! T-that's good to hear" Serenity said, a smile was appearing on her face once more.

 

The mare finally got her drink and muffin from the stallion. She was so happy, this was the first time she had been extremely happy about something.. Except going to a themepark. "O-Oh thank you! Y-you didn't really h-have to do this for m-me.. I-I could of g-got my orders o-on my own and leave it at that.. B-but I appreciate the k-kindness you're giving me today.. T-thank you and I-I'll be honoured to be friends with you.." with saying that, she starting to eat her muffin happily.

Dynamo shook his head as he pulled back from the hug. "It doesn't matter to me what quirks you have, Serenity. To me, you'll always be a normal, sweet and kind mare in my eyes." He raises an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean by that? How did you get your cutie mark, anyway. I'd like to hear about it. If you don't mind, that is. If you don't want to tell me, then I understand. I just wish to learn more about you. I think whoever makes fun of you is wrong. You have pretty eyes. The glasses you wear makes them more defined, in my opinion." He chuckles lightly and nods. "Don't worry on the rambling. To tell you the truth, I sometimes talk to myself. It's weird, I know, but it's a bad habit of mine." He runs a hoof through his mane while blushing in embarrassment. 

 

He nods before smiling brightly. "That sounds like a plan. You also like anime!? I-I never knew another pony who likes that stuff. Usually others tell me it's a waste of time and all that. I try and shrug it off and ignore their words. My boss showed me some anime style video games once. It was really cool and it felt like regular games, but different in a way. I collect figures and plushies as well. Once I get settled in, I might have my parents help ship my stuff down here. I guess your brother wants to have more than you, but that happens with jealousy. I hope I can show you my anime collection sometime. Have you ever been to a convention before?" He says, before frowning slightly. "It's a shame that they cost a lot. Is there a place they sell pets cheap? Hopefully one day I can own a pet cat or fox. I just moved here, so one step at a time." 

 

The blue unicorn smiles, as he watches his friend enjoying her food and smoothie. "Your welcome and it's no trouble at all. A gentlecolt should treat the mare with the utmost kindness and respect. It's what my mother told me when growing up. Thank you and I'm truly honored to have you as my friend. I also think it's pretty cool that we have a lot in common. It seems like we click pretty easily. I know we talked about some of our likes. Do you have things you dislike? Also, what are your hobbies?" He asks while taking another bite into his cupcake.

Serenity blushed, rubbing her neck awkwardly. ​"O-o-o-oh t-thanks! I-I never get described as "Normal, Sweet and kind".. I-I-I kinda get called like.. "Shy, coward, arrogant" a-a-a-and.. "idiotic".." ​She said, looking away in guilt as her mood deepened even more. ​"I-I don't want to talk about it.. I-I-I'm sorry.. m-my confidence w-was already u-used up by telling y-you my p-p-past.. I-I'll tell you w-when I trust you even more.. like.. best friend trust.. a-a-a-anyway.. t-thanks for complementing my g-glasses a-a-and my eyes.. I-it's kinda unusual t-to get complemented for... m-my glasses.." ​She replied, her mood slightly cheering up even more as she enjoyed his company. ​"O-Oh no worries! I-I talk to myself l-loads of time s-s-so you're not the only one f-friend.." ​Right now, her stuttering was clearing up slowly but it started to make sense to her.

I-I guess.. uhh.. sharing gossip.. I-I h-hate gossip.. I-it's just hurtful and disrespectful for p-ponies who had worked their f-flanks just to tell them.. Let me tell you an example.. 'I heard my friend's brother's neighbour's sister's ex husband's son had a harem of 10 ponies! Not to mention he likes stallions as well'.. see what I mean? I-I had to make that up j-just to see how b-bad it is in Ponyville.. I-I'm still surprised I said that whole example w-w-without stuttering" ​She giggled, closing her eyes just to giggle at her own achievement before opening them again. ​"A-anyway I'm getting off topic here.. W-what's your favorite anime that you like? M-mine is Lucky Star. Also.. Y-yea.. my brother gets extremely jealous whenever I have 1 or 2 more figurines than him. I-I only have 10 figurines while he has showed off all 40 of his figurines.. most of them he stole.. Y-you might be thinking.. 'Serenity! Why couldn't you stand up for yourself?!' it's because he already bet me when it comes to figurines b-but I've watched, played and tested all the anime games/videos out there so.. we're even"

 

The purple Pegasus continued to eat her food and drink with a happy smile on her face. It seems like she was satisfied with herself and she didn't feel anything on her back. Her mind stopped wandering as he spoke up again. ​"Hmm? O-oh! Y-y-yea. I-it's interesting to see we have so much in common.. I-it's pretty funny.. why? This is day 1 and we're already friends.. Oh my Celestia.. that doesn't h-happen to me every day of my life.. anyway.. I dislike bullies, fancy ponies with their mature attitude, bad memories, glares, pop stars, extremely short hair on older mares, fighting and.. He places his elbow on the table and rests his head in his hand. He nods at her remark. "I know exactly what you mean. Trust me, I will never judge you or anypony else. I like certain things, but others try and get me into these 'in the now times'. He says while making and air quote with his free hand. "I just can't understand gossip. Can' somepony just learn to respect one's privacy? I mean it's interesting at times, but it can be just plain rude." He chuckles a little himself. "That just shows you're becoming a little more confident and comfortable around me." He gasps at her earlier statement. "You like Lucky Star as well!? I love Lucky Star! Some of my favorite are Naruto, Pokemon and other things, including Lucky Star. I guess it couldn't be helped that he stole them. He might not have been given many toys and/or figures while growing up. That, and he may not have been taught that stealing is wrong. Maybe I or somepony can help him learn some good values. Although, I do understand that you are trying your best and I respect that."

Serenity smiled, trying to ignore her phone ringing. She knew who it was that needed to call her, her brother. Honestly she had no idea why her brother calls her nearly day but mainly it's just excuses just to get him whatever he wants. After a while of glaring at her phone, the ringing stopped and she breathed a sigh of relief, wiping her forehead gently. "Phew.. At least my phone stopped.. A-anyway.. I'm guessing y-you're one of those ponies who s-spots the small things o-on a pony and judges them for t-t-their l-looks? G-geez.. T-thanks for 'complementing' m-m-me.. Also.. I-I'll glady show y-you w-w-when I can fully trust you.. I-I know that sounds silly b-b-but.. G-give me time j-just to process t-t-that you like me.. A-a-as a friend I mean.. Y-you ramble on about y-your secrets!" The Pegasus was a little upset with herself, seeing the whole time that she made herself innocent and stuff. She faceplanfs herself into the table before reacting quickly from the force. "Ow! Remind me not to do that..". After taking a minute or so to let herself calm down, her head rose to quickly look at her new friend. "E-Exactly! G-Gossiping i-is a huge n-n-no for me! I-it's just bad news and f-full of lies that ponies spread easily.. Annoying.. I-isn't it? Wait a minute..YOU like Lucky Star AND Pokemon as well?! O-Oh my Celestia! C-can this day get a-a-a-any better t-than this?! O-o-oh sorry.. I-I just realised I got carried away with my rambling.. Eheheheheh... But.. Yea.. M-my brother still loves me .. Don't get me wrong, h-he adores me l-like a mother b-but.. I-I have to do e-e-e-everything by myself.. T-the bills, taxes, lighting, cleaning, cooking, working, looking a-after Ethan.. After explaining her whole situation with her money, her smoothie was already gone but her muffin was half eaten. It seems as if Serenity had found herself a new best friend. "Yea.. A-anyway.. Sour candy? My brother l-loves those! Seriously.. He has at least.. Oh I don't know.. 10 a day.. A-although he complains to me a-about his stomach getting sore. B-but it seems we n-nearly have the same likes and d-dislikes.. I-it's like.. We're supposed to be twins o-or siblings on that matter.. You know what I mean? Also.. T-to answer your question.. I-I don't really have a dream f-for my future.. Y-your cutie mark is self explanatory that you w-will be a gamer in the future.. Me? Ha.. I'll always be a pony that'll be stuck in her past.. B-but.. I've always dreamt to b-be a Nurse for children.. I-I always liked looking after c-children that are younger than me.. So far.. I've looked after 36 children this year and got $2,000,000 out of it.. Crazy huh? A-anyway.. I-I should p-probably go and d-deal with my b-brother.. I-it was nice w-while it lasted.." she replied with a sad smile, taking her half eaten muffin with her as she started to leave.

Dynamo ear's perked, as he could hear a ringing going off. He glances at the table and notices that it was Serenity's phone. He decided to not say anything and ask about it another time. His ears droop from her comment and looks down at the table, as he thought it looked more interesting to look at for the moment. "I-I'm really sorry. I promise I didn't mean it like that. I would never judge a pony for their looks. A pony's looks are important, but it's what's their inner character counts. I never judge anypony I meet. It would only happen if they acted like a bully towards others. Again, I-I apologize and hope you can forgive my misunderstanding." He nods in understanding as he finishes the rest of his smoothie.

 

He winces slightly from her facehoof into the table, bus smiles, knowing that she was okay. He chuckles softly and nods once more. "I'll do my best to not let you do that again. Are you going to be okay. That sounded like it hurt. I also can't stand gossip. I usually tend to stay out of the loop when it comes to gossip. It's plain, boring and nothing ever nice anyway, in my opinion. I love Lucky Star to the point of knowing the dance to the opening. I also love Pokemon and I just picked up the new copy, Pokemon Moon, just recently. I've only got to the third island, but it's such a fun game. I went with Popplio. Do you have the game? If so, how far are you and what starter did you go with?" 

 

He frowns once more, as he listens on to the living situation with her and her brother. "I'm really sorry to hear that. I can imagine it's difficult making ends meet at times. Plus, it seems pretty stressful from what I'm hearing. If there's a way for me to help out, I would, no problem." Dynamo laughs while nodding with a smile. "I know what you mean, Serenity. I never would have thought I'd meet somepony who likes and dislikes like I do. The would can be a pretty funny and interesting place. I'm glad I met you. To me, you're an amazing pony to be called my friend." Dynamo's jaw drops at the amount of bits she had made. "That's very impressive. I've never made that much in my life. Even winning a couple of tournaments. That's a very impressive feat. I also think a nurse for children suits you well. You have a kind heart and taking care of children seems in your nature, or something like that." He frowns softly as he watches her get up to leave.

 

He felt like he was stuck to the seat, but doesn't feel like getting up. 'Why do I feel like I won't see her again? I don't want to lose my very first friend.' He thought before standing up and running over to the Pegasus. After regaining his breath, he looks directly in Serenity's eyes. "P-Please don't go, Serenity. I feel like I won't see you again. I-I want to help you out. It seems from what you've told me, that you are having some trouble. I don't want to help because I have to or need to, but because I want to. Maybe you can stay with me at my new home. If it's okay with you and Ethan, that is. My boss offered me his summer home here, but it's near an arcade where he used to work." He says while offering his friend a happy, yet hopeful look.
