Ok, I honestly can't believe I didn't see this before, but in the first EQG movie, during the song reprise of "this is our big night", when the humane6 are dancing in the gym together, Rarity seems to be doing some ....very...."ladylike" twerking. O_o ok....um.....

Oh that was the thing, no wonder I missed it as I was watching a shorter video.  I'm still not sure if that's exactly twerking as being sexually provocative is usually one part of twerking, but she seems to be having a good time either way.

The 'booty shake' has been around since the 50's, along with the shimmy and the hustle, and its only seen as  sexually conative because of the appendage being shaken (we all have butts ^^) and because of people like Minaj and Beyoncé. Before this, the booty shake was standard as you needed to swing your hips a lot to dance, and the butt moves with the hips, of course ^^ The animation is there to show us that they're not all wooden planks learning to waltz XD

I needed to see the clip you provided in order to remember what Rarity was doing in that scene. To me, I just see it as her dancing in a manner that one wouldn't normally see. Well... that's not twerking. It is something totally different. She's just shaking her body to music and it doesn't look like she were trying to be 'offensive' in that regards, if you know what I mean.

Rarity's manners disallow her from doing things like this. She's a lady, so her dancing is just more gentle, but absolutely not what was suggested here. 

 

I'd be more worried about Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.  :awuh:
