How do you feel about suggestive fanart in fan clubs?

So in the fan clubs I've seen a fair amount of not clop / anything strictly sexual, but rather suggestive art. I don't really mind when it happens to show up, but each time is does show up it's a little surprising. Say if you're scrolling through the Fluttershy fan-club, and people are posting all this wonderful fanart, when suddenly, you see her on her back with the 'bedroom eyes' and such, does it put you off? I think it's a weird juxtaposition but nothing more myself

 

Again, I really dont mind, but what are your thoughts?

Personally, I prefer to see only non-suggestive art in fan-clubs, but I've become used to suggestive pieces. They're much more tame compared to many of the things I've seen in deviantArt groups.

Personally, I don't really mind suggestive art when it comes to MLP ( or cartoons in general ). I like to see what various people are passionate about when it comes to the franchise.

 

 

Obviously if it can be considered as offensive in some form then I agree that it's not really ok. As vengefulstrudel above me pointed out, it pales in comparison when compared with at least 60 percent of what you will find on deviantart.

To put it bluntly, i found it 'argh' to be seeing that in mlp. Some things are just not meant to be refer in a sexual content.

LOL, I think I'm one of the main culprits that this thread even exist  . Suggestive pics (specially humanized ones), are some of the types I post the most. I apologize for inconvenience caused partly by me. I'll hide further suggestive post under spoiler tags from now on

Some fans show their contributions through the fanclubs as a way to portray their level of admiration for a certain character and yes, a few spicy pictures do come up often. It doesn't bother me as long as it's not too risque or alluding/implying to anything sexual.

To be honest, I do not mind the art itself, but rather it's placement. What do I mean? I do not think it has any home on a PG-13 forum, to be brutally honest. There are always other places where such suggestive pics can be posted. The forums does not have to be one of them. That is my opinion.

As long as it's not clearly offensive in that regards, I'm totally okay with these. 

NSFW content is the worst when it's unexpected, so I get what you mean - These forums (especially these fan clubs) aim to be kid-friendly, so that's a thing to consider, when posting such images. 

 

As an adult, things like this don't scare me (well some pieces actually can ~ generally I'm not a fan of that kind of things), but there should be warnings or separate places for these. Yes, I'm looking at you, Google Images!    :-P

Suggestive should be acceptable, provided it isn't promoting anything heinous or obvious paraphilia.

 

Most of the FC pics are fine and fit well within modern standards of PG-13.

Fan clubs are where people share admiration for their favorite ponies in whatever form that may take. I don't think there's anything wrong with suggestive art being one of those forms.

Maybe stick suggestive art in spoiler tags with a warning above? That way, you don't have to see it if you don't want to and if you open it and are offended, that's your problem.

Hm..I have a feeling I'm one of the reasons why this topic exists...

 

 

I'm honestly totally fine with it...then again, I also post such pics in the Fluttershy Fan Club, and I only post safe or suggestive rated pics...which I source from Derpibooru, I post based on their own ratings but sometimes pics are borderline and so I tend to refrain from posting such pics..as it might be rated suggestive but would be considered "questionable" or NSFW on MLPF.

 

Sometimes, just because it's suggestive does not imply sexual content..it's just not 100%  safe to give it a "Safe" tage but it's still totally fine. My avatar for example, it was listed as suggestive on Derpibooru but it's clearly non-sexual...albeit the licking of the Ice cream might imply something sexual but only if you think in that way. To most it's just Fluttershy enjoying some ice cream. Maybe it's just the way the character is looking at you with "bedroom eyes" or something...again, completely non sexual but it's just the expression the artist gave the character.

There is actually nothing that puts me off except really gross stuff.

This goes for a wide range of pictures ranging from normal SFW content to kind of brutal content to NSFW, i view it all the same. Whether a character is shown being seducive, naughty, stressed, dramatic, happy, sad, ect. The bottom line for me is: The character is shown. That's all that really matters to me. Because i love seing that character. Of course i enjoy certain characters doing certain things like fighting more than others. And i also like to see when the artist is passionate about the character, means they really care about it.

 

So, no. I don't mind seing suggestive content.

I actively try to broaden my acceptability when it comes to art and everything. I am fine with literally any picture. Even grotesque ones. But stuff I don't like... are when like a pegasus' wings are cut off, or cut in half, ect
