Will the MS retain their powers they got in LoEF in the next EQG movie?

Do you think the powers that got in the Legend of Everfree movie is permanent?

Given the ending of Legend of Everfree focused on the magic leaking from the portal into the human world, and how it appeared that for now the main cast are holding on to their amulets, I have a feeling that either the specials or a 5th movie, or even a 13 episode miniseries or whatever will address both.

I think the Humane7 kept their amulets, so I think they'll keep their powers for the upcoming specials (besides, they have to keep order from the loose equestrian magic )

I'm guessing as long as they have their crystal shard necklaces, they will retain the powers. It will be interesting to see how they use them in their day to day lives.

Almost assuredly. that was more or less the POINT of the LOE movie, to codify the mane seven's magic from the more generic and poorly understood "Can shoot rainbow lasers, but ONLY when its convenient" magic they had, and make them feel a little more special and unique, as well as bringing over some of their abilities from their pony selves to their human selves.

 

 

LOE was basically there to set up a foundation for future EQG stuff rather than to act as its own stand alone thing like Rainbow rocks or EQG 1 was. It almost feels more like an "Episode 1" thing than EQG 1.

They did show Sunset holding her pendant after performing their concert to save Camp Everfree so we know that they didn't throw them away or choose to give them up because of being too powerful. There's no telling what they will do with their new powers until whatever magic seeps out of the portal decides to alter in their world, something that should happen at least in the first of the three specials airing this summer.
