I think it would have been a little charming to see, but I still prefer the direction they took. There's just more you can get away with in animation, and less "clutter" to worry about.

 

And plus, did you see the fandom's reaction to the live action music video? They were LIVID. Imagine how they would have reacted if the whole movie was like that.

Likely no, unless it was done like the fan-made Pony in Real Life video, where the Flash-animated characters are super-imposed into the live-action world ala Roger Rabbit style!

 

Enchanted with Amy Adams is actually an affectionate parody of the Disney Princess film; it also has so many easter eggs hidden throughout that on the blu-ray version, there's a special way of watching the film: The D-files! It has you watching the film again with trivia questions popping up to test your knowledge of Disney animated films. Every correct answer scores you points and plays a short behind-the-scenes video relating to the question. I recommend it to any fan of the Disney Animation world.

nah i dont see it. if this was made at the 80s then i totally see it. i mean back then it was kinda a common thing to to this stuff xD

plus a pony going real human to high school. i can see glitter and pink wigs too. yes at the 80sthis would be good xD

i dont even see the reverse situation: live-action girls go to a portal and transform into ponies in equestria. so basically 15 min live action + 1 hour animated + 10 live action. this is for the 80s again but i can extend it to the late 90s too, even early 00s xD

I would not want to see EQG have turned out to be live action.

Can you imagine the type of drama that would come about the human version of the mane 6 getting canon races, that is not something I would want to deal with, as the first movie was controversial enough.

No. Because then it would have starred actual teenage girls. We don't need another Disney channel movie.(I just mean that because of the teenage actors.)

I don't think it would have worked the same way especially when it comes to the special effects. Live-action sequences can only go so far and modern technology still has a ways to go before it can be deemed perfect. I'm glad that Equestria Girls used the same Flash animation that the show uses.

I'm not. I think Flash just isn't natural for humans. They should have gone with traditional animation for EG.
