I fail to see how that's relevant. There is a big difference between a small reference here and there to an actual guest star. Plus, it was Hasbro who made the decision to include those references, and my point was that it was Minori who wouldn't be interested.

Those examples aren't relevant in the slightest since my point was that Minori probably wouldn't be interested due the the lack of popularity for FIM in Japan. Plus, one of your examples isn't even a guest star.

Probably not considering  that Japanese fashion isn't really that popular with the target audience (or with bronies for that matter).

Both have strong world wide brand recognition, and one is no longer used and was retconned officially.

 

If they did add fashion tie-ins, it's more likely that they would make referencins to Cardin, Pierre, or Lauren since they would be more in line with Rarity's sensibilities and also are larger with brand recognition - but you have the Pommel issue to contend with.
