Your head is pounding, and you don't know where you are. So, instinctively, you examine your surroundings. A huge, green field awaits you. You would be amazed right now if you weren't thinking about how you got here and what this place is. The more you stare and think, the more memories flood back into your mind. You could've sworn that you died. But, no matter, that was probably a nightmare. The reason why you're here is probably the result of some prank went wrong. You're sure that help will be coming soon. But, after hours of waiting, the truth dawns on you; Nopony's coming for you. You're on your own. One word echoes in your head as you lift yourself off the ground and prepare to explore: Escape. So What the Fudge is this 'Rift RP'? Rift RP tells the story of a group of characters stick in the Rift. What is the Rift, you ask? Well, today is your lucky day, because I'm going to tell you. The Rift is the point in between the real life and the afterlife. How do you get to the Rift, I hear you cry. You get to the Rift when you perish by unfair circumstances, such as a disaster (Train wreck, Natural disaster) Murder Victim, either by pony or other animal, or other circumstances that you get to make up. The requirements are simply that your character had no control over their fate. Details on the Joinsies As this roleplay will be played with a beginning, middle, and end, like a book, I'll be accepting characters in the beginning and that's it. You can leave and come back, as long as the roleplay is still going on, just try not to forget about me. Please. Uhh... let's see. I'll be putting a format down below for applying characters, so try to use that. This world is almost entirely abandoned, but your characters aren't the first to roam the Rift. Don't be surprised if a few ruins pop up. Some Other Stuff Just some reminders while roleplaying: While I'm totally fine with romance, keep it SFW. Follow the rules. I doubt I had to remind all of you mature mares and stallions, but just to be safe. I'm fine with blood and gore as long as it's SFW. If your character gets injured, we don't want the details. And yeah. As promised, here's the format for applying. Note that when I say 'apply', you'll probably be accepted as long as the character is plausible and fair. So no overpowered things like immortality. (You wouldn't be here in the first place if you were immortal, actually) Character Name: Gender: Race: (Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn, Alicorn[?]) Skills: (What are they good at? Srosh Crossheart Male Minotaur Srosh is a native of the unofficial state of Taursikstan located in the northern most territories Saddle Arabia. Hailing from Juniper tribe of the mountain lands his general role was simple guard work with the occasional skirmish and proxy war bolstering his combat abilities. As a soldier he is generally fit (as well as simply being a Minotaur) and has fortified strength and endurance. Though as a big mass of muscle he isn't keen on fitting in small places. Minotaurs are able to channel their furosity to make them inflict massive damage while ignoring pain. A sorta adrenaline rush or such. With his guard career in the past Srosh enjoys going on long relaxing walks, A hiking sorts. With confidence in his abilities he would climb onto any wall- nothing would stop him. You've been accepted! However, please refrain from killing the other participants. <3 Oh wait, I wanted to participate too! Character Name: Lance Gender: Male (Stallion) Race: Earth Pony Skills: His reaction time is above average. He is also able to make random objects into fit weapons. (He can turn a newspaper into an equivalent of a wooden club) Special Abilities (If any): As an Earth Pony, he is unable to preform magic or fly. However, being an Earth Pony, his physical strength and endurance is higher than Unicorns and Pegasi. How did they get to the Rift?: Upon purchasing some scrolls from a traveling merchant, he never realised that he sealed his fate. A gang had been searching for these documents for decades, and would do anything to get ahold of them. Once they saw that Lance got his hooves on the scrolls, they quickly, uh, disposed of him. Notes: He is my profile picture if you'd like to look. Other stuff: Alright, so, just another thing, make sure to write in your first post on the actual roleplay the experience of dying. Lil' Lovebug 1,041 February 21, 2017 Share February 21, 2017 Steady Hoof Gender: Male Race: Unicorn Skills: Sneaky and good with blades, as befitting of an assassin spy information specialist of the royal army. Better than average hearing. Thinks of himself as above-average when it comes to coming up with plans. Special Abilities (If any): Can make his magic nigh inaudible. Can cast a spell to throw sounds. How did they get to the Rift?: Accidents can happen when you're an... information specialist. As it happens, one such one occurred for Steady, involving ill placed branches, accidentally stepping on said branches, alerting the enemy, and not being able to take a 5 on 1 fight. Notes: Lithe in build, preferring agility over brawn, Steady is adept at dodging and running around, but can't take a hit to save his life (quite literally). His magic is good enough to lift an average sized pony, though it's straining. Character Name: Techno Universal Gender: Male Race: Unicorn Skills: Working with universal energy (digital magic), knowledge of inter-universal physics. Special Abilities (If any): Has a exprmental universal energy CPU unit in his head that works side by side with his brain. He has a massive knowledge base and very quickly figures things out How did they get to the Rift?: He had an accident in his lab where a defective universal energy PC exploded and overcharged him with magic.
