Spike's "Cutie Mark"

Before ya say anything, when I say "cutie mark", it's just a metaphor. This is like a Gabby thing. Spike can't get a cutie mark, but that doesn't mean he can't have a destiny, right?

 

So that's what this post is about! What do we think Spike's destiny is going to be? I know he's happy being Twilight's assistant, and I know he's never going to leave her! However, there is much to his talents that leaves much to be desired! He has proven to be very smart, and tends to be the voice of reason when it comes to Twilight and Starlight; even though he's not always listened to. Not to mention he started the pathway to an alliance between Equestria and the dragons, and Equestria and the changelings! Are we detecting some sort of pattern here? Do we detect ourselves a future ambassador for Equestria? If Spike befriends yet another misunderstood species next season, it might as well come to that! Maybe even if Spike befriends Scorpan it could start an alliance between Equestria and his people! Who knows? Who... *flicks nose* ...knows?

 

But I could be wrong, and Spike's destiny could be something else! I know the writers in Hasbro are thinking of something for him! It's just by the looks of things so far, he could be an ambassador for creatures that don't trust ponies, or if ponies don't trust them! But what do you think?

I could see Spike one day being a sort of ambassador for both ponies and dragons, helping the two species to cooperate and uniting them.  His kindness and compassion and his immense open-mindedness are things that are not only special among dragons, but even among the ponies. While the others were ready to attack the changeling it would seem, he was able to befriend him. The new changelings could also see him as an ambassador since he is basically the reason they were able to overthrow Chrysalis.

 

I am not sure if the show will ever fully explore it, but I believe Spike has a special talent of bringing harmony to multiple species together.

He has saved the Crystal Empire like three times, so he already has had important roles. I like your idea though, maybe there should be an episode based on that.

Changelings too now. He's friends with the King of the Changelings, the Queen of the Dragons, is deeply loved by the Crystal Empire, and works for the Princess of Friendship.

 

Hell, Spike is more of an effective Princess than the actual ones.

I was thinking about what would his cutie mark would be, had he been able to get one. I think a scroll would fit, as that a: was his main purpose in the first few seasons and b: it would symbolise what I think might be his destiny - to help Twilight through her life, be her assistent as well as the most loyal friend. To further symbolise that, maybe there could be a little more to smybolise Twilight on the cutie mark, like the scroll could have a star on it or something.

In the far future, when Princess Twilight Sparkle rules Equestria, Spike the huge and mighty dragon will be the protector of the realm. He, along with General Rainbow Dash's Wonderbolts will keep all the ponies safe from any enemies.
