I have a room at the Hyatt starting Thursday the 13th and checking out Monday the 17th.

 

My room has 2 full size beds.

 

what I'm looking for is other ponies over 18 (preferably 21) that want to make use of this. rates are...

 

 

$150 bits for a shared bed (plan on having  one another using it) and

$100 bits for floor space.  (only want 2 on the floor so to not play sardines ;-/

... bottle caps won't cut it =/

 

I like dealing with cash on arrival then handing you the room key-card at that time.

 

I would like to keep this room 'quite' for the most part and not a party room. sure we may agree to other things but lets start with this for the 'plan' and go from there...

 

Alcohol... will be in the room and you must get the ok from whomever brought it before you consume any. (common curtsy here mates =p). Mine will most likely be for the room. and feel free to bring your shared/private stash.

I see you have a room... if it's still open I wouldn't mind picking up some floor space.  I plan on arriving Thrusday and leaving late Sunday put would be more than willing to cover the full $100 for the space.  I'm 24, and will also be working the con this year as well.  If there is still room, and you'd like to know more about me, you can message me on here or through the staff communication (user: ZeBronyCaptain).

Sure thing ZeBrony. I got lots of space still. I'm hoping the closer we get to day 0 the more will see my thread.

 

P.S. I'm glad you're a fellow staffer. IMO it's the best way to do cons.

Sounds great! I am aiming for floor space, so I will be paying for that.

 

What about the TV on Saturday morning when we watch the episode as it airs? Would that be doable? I have a FiOS account tablet with HDMI output and bringing in 2 extra hotspots in case hotel network is overloaded.

 

If it's not possible , that would be fine. I can go elsewhere to view the episode live.

 

I've been to BABSCon as well as other conventions, mostly in SoCal. so I am very familiar with the rules. I have improved my habits over past attendings, despite being a night owl gamer (Some Chinese Kung Fu Panda ARPG game- would be neat for a gaming panel but this con is not about that. Will do that at Califur instead.) There's a lot of things I can do like hmmer my icon picture out of a commission and two loose assets, but it's all hat.

 

Anyways, throwing my hat in the ring. Hope I can get in. Confirmation would be critical to winning my work manager over for time off Easter weekend.

l see my last post didn't take so this is more or less re-post.

 

I see that Catbirbpony wanted the last floor space spot. And has/had a good idea bout the Saturday showing. we could work something out.

 

as for ipone and metalcraze yes I do have beds that need ponies. As listed in my 1st post plan on $150 for that.

 

I might have 1 more space left,need to have someone get ahold of me to see if they're serious about goin.

 

If possible could all you get on Skype? It would help me locate you once we get to the hotel and help me see if anything changes happen faster.

Great news

 

I got a 2nd room

 

now you might be thinking this is 'wrong or evil' but rest assured this is  adding more ponies crash pads.

 

by doing this I can crate upto to 6 more ponies room space (to be exact).

 

that's 2 more  floor spaces and 4 shared queen sized beds

rates are the same as in my 1st post...

100 for floor space (up two 2 people/ponies) and 4 shared beds 150 for those (shared bed)

 

now, yes, I did reserve two rooms, but this does allow 6 more crash spaces. so keep that mind people. I'm allowing 6 more per room and count yourself lucky for getting a room for the whole con (IMO) so keep that in mind.

 

Also if interesting I will only be booking 2 rooms. (the 1st room is full so only 2 potentially floor spaces remain (those who already booked n the 1st room have priority for theses ) I'll let you know if any of the floor spaces are still up for grabs.

 

anypony can freely book a shared bed space at the going rate of $150 for their stay which is for the entire con (Thurs~Monday) at this time. I whole heartedly expect this additional room to fill up as well.

 

I hope this helps some more of you get the crash space you need

Put me down as potentially interested for one of the spaces in the second room, depending on how my plans go. I am a bit confused, though - the fee for the room in the convention block for four nights is around $500, right? Four bed spaces at $150 each plus two floor spaces at $100 each is a total of about $800, so what kind of fancy-pants rooms did you book?  :P

Yes I got space for both of you. Also, Violet, yes you're correct that I'd be getting $800 for the 2nd room and $650 for the room I'm staying in. That is 100% correct. however, I'm responsible for covering the cost of the room wether or not the rooms fill. The 100 for floor space and $150 for a shared bed is the rate I decieded to lockin instead of a flexing rate based on the number per room.

 

The only real sorta fancy thing (and it's not much) is I was on the phone for a full hour to insure both rooms will have queen sized beds. other than that their pretty much standard run of the mill rooms.

I'm away from home atm, but should be back by the 24th (hopefully sooner)

 

I'm trying to stay online as often as possible in th meantine.

That makes sense - I was afraid that the cheap rooms had sold out or something. I'm still tentative because we have relatives in the area, so I miiiiiight be staying with them, but that's nowhere near confirmed yet. If anyone comes along in the next week who super-duper-absolutely wants the space, go ahead and give it to them, but I'll try to have a definitive yes or no by the 24th.

Please contact me! I have offiste lodging offered by a vendor, but it's a bit far away, and I'd like to stay with you from Thursday night to Saturday night. Sunday afternoon, I'll be bugging my stuff out because my return bus trip starts at Monday midnight at the Caltrain station.

I also have a media box or three with FiOS. I used to have it on tablets, but due to the new travel restrictions, I am moving everything off tablets and onto off-network phones (even bringing some out of retirement when I got tablets - now I am forced to retire tablets, lol) and media boxes. The media box will plug into the TV and we can watch the episode as it airs (not through a stream) on my FiOS family account.

I will pay cash upfront via Paypal, Cash.me, Square, whatever works, but in case my bank balks like it did at the other con in January, I have cash on hand.

I plan to be an assistant or volunteer whenever possible, even unofficially.

The reason I am so late with this is that I just finally convinced a coworker to take up my Saturday shift. I can deal with floor space, I have no qualms with that, I'm even packing my sleeping bag. I will be bringing a few things for the Dragon's Hoard Freebie table, garage cleanup has uncovered so much pristine stuff. I will be donating something quite saucy for the charity, which would look great with Peter's, Ashleigh's and Tabitha's signatures.

Other apss are not good right now as I am getting rid of apps I am not using much anymore due to the move off tablets to phones. SWEEET! I have three media player Android boxes (one standby in case one flops) so we can watch the new episode Saturday morning in both rooms. I hope the room Ethernet ports under the tables are functioning.

I'll get them all loaded up with the apps tonight.

I will contact you when I arrive at 7:35 p.m. Thursday at San Francisco Caltrain off Megabus, a bit up north from the con. I'll just need to get a few buses and turn in for the night.

For Sunday, I would need to leave at 10 p.m. to catch the midnight Megabus trip home.

and yes I have been thinking of this trip since last year :D
