What do you do when someone asks "Can you hear me?" on the phone?

I simply say "nope. Moove a bit." a keep it going for at least 30 seconds.

If it's a friend of mine on the other end, I'll usually say no and laugh.

But, if it's a stranger, I'll usually say yes or just hang up (especially if it's a telemarketer)

I am usually telling them "yes, you?" and if that person hears nothing, i either try to fix it, or just give it up XD

Do not say anything. hang up, and block the number.

This is a phishing style scam. they can use your "Yes" to make it appear that you have agreed to just about anything. People who have said "yes" to these scammers have lost millions collectively.

I'm totally OK with it and answering honestly, cuz I'm asking the same from time to time because using different phone accessories and not sure about quality of mic or I can be somewhere with bad phone signal like in basement or metal elevator.
