I've noticed a trend in laptops being the largest investment for most people here. I'm honestly wondering if any one who purchased a laptop is using it for something that is allowing a return on the investment other than school (visual art, music, software development, general business entrepreneurship, etc).

The most expensive thing(s) I had ever purchased was everything for my polymer clay/ Deco den hobby. It can require a lot of tools and craft ovens aren't cheap. Also I have to keep buying more clay which if you want the good stuff which isn't the most cost friendly either.

The most expensive things I own were given to me as gifts, either for graduation, birthdays, or christmas. 

Things I actually purchased though? I guess the washing machine I bought for my girlfriend one christmas (She doesn't have a laundromat nearby and she used to take hours hand washing all her clothes)

They're not even that good of seats, pretty far from the stage. Why do concert tickets have to be so expensive?
