Side by side with the human world exists a world very similar, but quite different. This world is known only as the Monster World.

Since the beginning, humans and monster always existed apart from each other. They were known only to each other through myths and legends, taking the form of stories passed down through the ages. For humans, monsters were terrible creatures, frightening and ferocious. But for monsters, humans were seen as their legends, saviors, heroes. Powerful and wise, they knew things monsters did not, and carried powers most monsters could only dream of. They were worshiped and revered by many, and seen as better than monsters. Or at least, those were the myths and legends.
In an otherwise ordinary day, great news was received by the Monster World. Five human children had been spotted entering the realm. Great celebration was had, for many monsters believed these these humans were like those in the legend. But many others disagreed. They believed that the other side was wrong, and that the children could not be trusted. The two sides fought bitterly, and so the Monster World was plunged into a great and terrible war.

The two sides continued to fight, and many lives were lost. While those who did not believe did their best to fight bravely, they had they had no answer to the powers of the children, who were far stronger than ordinary monsters, and had their own companions to fight with them. They also had their own plans in mind; while the war raged, they made their way to the Kingdom of the Monster World. There they fought fiercely with the Matriarch of the Monster World, and after a long battle, defeated her.

With the Matriarch gone, the war came to a close; the monsters fighting no longer had the will to resist. It was the end of the war, but it was not the end of the monster's suffering. For while the children had won, they were truly not the humans of legend as the stories foretold. They were greedy and selfish, and wished only to serve their own interests. As soon as the monsters responsible for participating in the war were locked up in chains, they set about naming themselves the new rulers. They became the new kings and queens, and split the land into five separate parts. They forced monsters to work under them, and as many were punished, many more were neglected. Monsterkind began to suffer under the children, and so it entered its darkest history...

This a roleplay structured around Monster Tale, a game created in 2011 (Feel free to look it up, though playing it is not necessary to participate or enjoy this roleplay). Roleplayers will take on the role of kids suddenly dropped off in the Monster World with no knowledge of the events going on at the time, though they will be filled in soon enough. From there, it's only a matter of personal decision whether to fight, find your way home, or maybe even make a life inside of the Monster World...

Four slots are filled. As promised, here's the (quality) map so you have an idea of where you're stepping into. White spaces are the spaces between kingdoms, and aren't technically controlled by anyone. The Monster Train has a set route with set stations, but chooses where it starts and stops with complete randomness.

And having said that, there will be one extra requirement; making a character! You may use a pre-existing character, as long as they fit the following requirements:

 

- Must be human ( Completely human. Ponies or other characters turned into humans are perfectly alright, though they must have no powers or special non-human abilities )

 

- Must be a child/ young teen ( Ten at the youngest, around fifteen at the most). Intelligence ad maturity levels obviously may vary. Just try your best to be realistic.

 

-Your character will be dropped off suddenly in the Monster World. Outside of a few personal objects they may be carrying on them (backpacks are allowed for the situation), they'll be coming in unprepared, with no knowledge of the world of monsters. Prepare your posts accordingly.

 

-If you don't have a profile for your character, just a short description will suffice so I know what's going on. Name, age, personality, background. You don't technically even need a paragraph for it; just give me the gist.

 

 

( May seem complicated, but it's really not. Once that's done, we can get to the fun stuff. 

After a decision, no longer required to have a profile! Obviously you'll have to have a character, but i'll just be kicking you off to various places, as indicated on the map and wiki. So, without further ado:

Human's name: Yesinia

 

Age: 11

 

Appearance: Yesiania is of average height for her age, standing at around five feet and two inches. Of Hispanic descent, she bears the crisp, bronze skin of one who toils as the sun bears down upon them. Her hair, reminiscent of scorched earth and kept out of her eyes by the silver ribbon that serves as the crux for a wavy ponytail. Freckles mark the bridge of her nose, stains left over time by exposure to copious amounts of daylight that Yesinia has been exposed to. She sports a sleeveless white shirt, and khaki shorts that cut off towards the end of her calves. She evidently owns no shoes, but the bottoms of her feet bear the canyons of callouse that prevail against discomfort, allowing her to move about mostly unhindered by unfavorable terrain. Her physique is considerable, for one so young. Smooth skin will occasionally shift about and give way to faint sinews of muscle, hinting at her blue collar background. Her eyes, relaxed and reminiscent of emeralds tend to remain relaxed, nary showing a hint of concern for her surroundings. In her ears, if one walks beside her, they may see peculiar devices used to aid those with impairment of auditory reception.....

Name: Sophie

 

Age: 11

 

Appearance: Stands at five feet, one inch in height, and her skin is a slightly pale caucasian, like she does see sunlight but doesn't exactly spend a hot summer's day playing outside. Her hair is dark brown and runs down to the middle of her back, with a small bang on each side of her face. Her light blue eyes were behind a pair of thin-rimmed oval-lens glasses She wears a red t-shirt depicting an image inspired by an anime, which was loose but not exactly a size for her age, and a pair of comfortable black sweatpants. Her feet were covered by a pair of white sneakers with little pink highlights. A preference to stay indoors combined with a sweet tooth have left her with a plump physique, not concerning but definitely noticeable.

 

Personality: Sophie is rather introverted, preferring to stay indoors and play video games and watch her favourite shows over playing outside. She is capable of talking to others of course, she just gets rather quiet at first, but opens up once she trusts the newcomer more. If she finds a kindred spirit in terms of the games and cartoons she likes, she will happily talk about them. As previously mentioned, she has quite a sweet tooth, and enjoys a bar of chocolate. She dislikes being forced to run for long distances.

Name: Alex

Age: 14

Appearance: He is about 1.7 meters, or in other terms roughly 5 feet and 7 inches tall, he had an early growth spurt in comparison to his classmates. Due to his Scandinavian descent his skin is quite pale, that and him not exactly loving the outside. His hair is rather wild looking, looking almost like a crow's nest with his hair sticking out everywhere. Its color is a light orange. The length of it isn't anything too much, it generally just covers his head for the most part. His eyes color depends a whole lot on the light conditions, while it's bright his eyes are blue and if it's dim they're green, a mix between the two if normal conditions happen to be met. He wears a basic white t-shirt, he didn't care much for looks, as obvious with his hair. His pants are beige, not much else to be said about them. He has a shark tooth necklace that he wears around his wrist like a bracelet. Meanwhile his shoes are white-blue sneakers. Even though he likes to be inside and generally don't move around a whole ton he has a thin body, due to genetics.

Personality: Alex is quite introverted as he'd rather sit inside and read a book than go to a social event. He doesn't dislike other people however and generally treats everyone fairly, even when said people seem like they don't deserve it at first glance. He dislikes people who pick on others for whatever reason they might have. He is a bit awkward to talk to, but once seeing past that he's good company. At first he seems like he can hold his calm, but in truth he just has quite the temperament when angered.

Age: 10

Appearance: Smaller than the usual girl, even for her age, she appears frail and thin. Pale skin, as if she'd never basked in the sun, and eyes that are full of curiosity, caution, but most of all, unsure to the unknown. When teleported, she'd been wearing a thin black gown, obviously the attire she would sleep in. Along with her blanket, which is enough to cover her entire being without much effort...

Personality: The secret's in the frosting, but I'll never tell~
