  Karazhan.

I want it to have Karazhan!

A massive, sprawling stone tower all piled on top of floor after floor while really not covering much more land than a city block. Each room easily big enough to live in, like, New-York-Apartment size and still each a world onto its own! Mind you, could maybe do without all the undead, ghosts, demons & mad constructs but I really don't mind.

Of course I'd need a library room section, and perhaps at least one room that's wall-to-wall aquarium.Just every part of the floor, walls & even a projection of it coming out as an armchair as part of the walls of the aquarium. That way I can sit down to read a book & know there's fish under my butt!

Also, I'd probably color code my rooms. Castle or not, I'll probably do that if I get my  own house. Just paint the walls all one color & theme the furniture that way too.

"I feel grumpy & angry today! I'LL BE IN MY RED ROOM!!"

And maybe, if I have a big enough castle, i'll put in long, dead-end hallways & doors that lead to brick walls just for the sole purpose of annoying potential visitors!

Also, P.S.: Thank you so much for that link, @@cuteycindyhoney, I had almost forgotten about that beautiful fact of the Discworld! I'll have to write that into my blueprints...

P.P.S.: I totally point the way everytime Pinkie asks in your signature,Hee~

The land that comes with a castle....

Really because with out the land, there is no income to keep the castle up....

And thus it becomes a huge burden.

Heck the largest caste in England was referred to as a curse for almost 200 years because of how many people it drove broke.

My castle would have a dungeon below it like what you get in the Legend of Zelda series though I'm not sure how big or dangerous it would be down there. I'd also have an arena where combat takes place or some kind of obstacle course whichever comes first.

Oh, it would be small castle in place with beautiful views. I guess I would open hotel in it, cuz castle is too big to live there alone.

A huge telescope for observing the beautiful cosmos, an underwater library, (much like one I saw in my dreams once), vertical farming, (let's assume all current technology is available), an aviary, and the best defense systems, (including, but not limited to, automated sentry turrets, anti-aircraft, and fortified walls).

My castle would have to have a fairy tale aesthetic on the outside and be up to date with all the modern conveniences on the inside. But all the classic beauty and architecture of bygone days would be apparent everywhere.

For one thing, it would be carpeted from top to bottom; none of those ice-cold floors when I wake up in the morning. It would also have A/C and heat for all seasons. But as for the fun parts, I'd want an indoor garden with its own forest and an aviary. Swimming pool? Of Course! I would have on on the roof for those lovely vistas, and another inside. But my indoor pool would occupy a great domed room with a artificial sky projected on it and would be more of a stylized take on nature, meaning it would have meandering rivers running in and out through colorfully lit artificial landscapes with waterfalls, and music would be playing under the water (yes, it can be done). If I want to change the atmosphere, I'll turn down the lights and let the fiber optic stars shine from the ceiling or even below the surface of the water so it would feel like I'm floating in outer space when I swim. Olfactory feedback would complete the effect when I dial through a list of favorite smells to go with the lighting or mood.

The rooms would be furnished with oversized beds (I hate sleeping in tiny beds) and fireplaces that stretch from wall to wall, whether they're needed or not. I would have an art gallery and museum, because life without art is meaningless, and a connection to the past is a gift. The royal bath would be an experience more than a mere matter of ablutions. The vast marble bathtub would be designed in a greco-roman style with statuary around it like the famed public baths of old. And the water would run in different scents and moisturizing formulas for the skin.

The grounds are important too, and although they would appear natural, they'd all be designed with a purpose in mind. Rolling meadows for outdoor sports would hide fanciful caverns below, for exploring or just listening to a private concert with perfect acoustics. Trees and flora of all kinds would give different areas of my grounds the feeling of desert, mountains, meadows, wetlands or even the beach. And animals befitting each area would be stocked there.

At night, the castle would take on a whole new life as lighting and artificial weather effects change the complexion of my kingdom according to my royal whim. If I want moonlight, strategically concealed arc lights will provide that subtle blue glow. Flowing streams will chuckle with music, bubbles will fill the air, and the sweet smells of all my favorite memories will be on every breeze.

I guess that'l do for now. At least until I can get something better.  :proud:

I've always wanted a castle. I see it as one of the reasons to get rich. I absolutely love these huge mansions with endless corridors and mazes, infinite rooms. I want to own a creepy mansion like that, with just a few butlers and no one else, scaring people off. Seems like a lot of fun to me:D

I would want a castle that would look like a restored version of the castle of the two sisters.

But on the interior I would want it to have modern day technology, and air conditioning, and plumbing, and all of the other modern day conveniences we have available today.

I would want it to be a mixture of a fairy tale castle aesthetic but with a modern day twist.

my own castle? ooohh it has to have stables and its own horsey enclosure on the grounds. maybe a menagerie too?

but a few modern things to go with it, i'd have my own nightclub room, indoor pool, stage for my own performances, maybe even a pool/bar room like on John Wick. that looks fun. ah screw it, it'll just have an awesome party wing.

but then also have living area with gorgeous mixed listed and modern kitchen, bathrooms and conservatory.

... heh ^^; the company I work for does these kind of conversions on big listed houses and the occasional castle.

Battlements and garrison forces heavy automated turrets and missile launchers on the walls, artillery positions and anti air batteries outside the walls, in the middle a central tower leading up to my penthouse containing all luxuries I can think of from hot tubs to giant televisions and it's own kitchen and a balcony looking over the surrounding area the main level would contain servents quarters and barracks for the guards as well as a marble bathhouse and quarters for my harem all surrounding my throne room and dining hall below would be miles of catacombs and bunker complexes leading to many different areas from laboratories to dungeons and store houses, from the walls to the central complex would be a beautiful garden of all kinds of flowers and plants, there would also be a central control room and information center to monitor my forces and give orders to my armies

^ Those, blended together. Of course with some basic modern conveniences inside a small area where I'd be staying mostly, but the rest would remain untouched.

Either that or a blend between Canterlot Castle and Nightmare Moon's Castle of the Two Sisters from Cutie Remark Pt 2

A perfect mix of your classic stone castle and a highly advanced skyscraper, would be around 1900 feet tall at its highest point, and have all the perks of a skyscraper, I'd allow people to live in the hotel wing, but there would be extra high security, and high security systems. There would be 2 gyms, 3 swimming pools, a small amusement park, observation deck for highest point, hotel wing, a museum with all my belongings in glass, school of sorts, conference rooms, my actual house would be inside a large massive room and be kept at utmost importance and novelty.

There would be a throne room for me but in a way I could just pull out my laptop and have a table infront of my golden throne, throne rooms for my friends. It would be 100% run on renewable energies, there would be a nice moat and drawbridge made out of titanium, and the castle would be shielded against a nuclear attack or something like that, computer labs, libraries, a few movie theaters, a mcdonald's, burger king, and a little ceasers pizza.

ant.

I would have statues of myself, friends, maybe a few of my favorite ponies out front that are always guarded. The castle would be protected well and somehow be on the dark side of the moon, like a terraformed crater, all to myself, friends and the security staff, of course I'd have a spaceship, maybe even 3. With gravity generators of course.

It would have somewhere around 150 floors maybe? The castle would be lived in until around 1500 feet, and then the remaining would be a sort of frame with windmills, solar panels and all that stuff, and then a secure center 'pole' around 700 feet in diameter that would go up to 9100 feet and be domed at the top with bulletproof glass, there would be a nice observatory at the top. It would mostly be in a rather domed shape, but minus the windmills.

A many secret tunnels and compartments as I could get in there. And one room right in the center that only I know about. In it, there would be only a chair, and a table with a chess set. The chair would be on the black player's side. There would be a game in progress, with each side having lost an equal amount of pieces.

It would be a reflection of my mind, the dark rational part of me seeking to control the light, caring parts . Though neither can truly overwhelm the other, the chair represents what trait I firmly believe defines me. It is how I present myself, how I think I am precieved, who I want to be. But no matter how hard I try, people will always see that the other half of me constantly battling with how I present myself. Never overtaking it, but never completely gone. It represents the frailty of my image, or even my naivete that I could ever change it in the first place.

Or that's what people who discover it after I die might think. I actually have no fucking idea how to play chess. I just like screwing with people, and the thought of confusing a bunch of people trespassing in my goddamn castle is fun.

It would have Baroque-style architecture, so not quite "castle" like, I suppose. It would be located in the Northern regions where they still have four seasons. It would have lots and lots and lots of wind instruments. Probably a harpsichord and organ, too.

Although, to be honest, I think the smaller a space is, the better for me. I am super paranoid.

Bah! The whole point to a castle is huge, cold, stone rooms that leave you with a constant feeling of being haunted! Gosh darn it! Castles was made to go power-mad in!

If I may add on to my previous statement. Each floor would be entirely seperate & circular, connected by spiraling staircases. Each distinctly set up so that visitors have to stop & ask themselves if they're still inside a castle. Each so markedly different that it would give the impression of separate worlds or large dioramas haphazardly stacked one on top of the other in no discernible order. All piled up no wider than your average large house, but tall enough where I'd have grumpy yardkeepers shooing off bystanders that stand slack-jawed trying to crane their necks to see the top of my Tower.

Some examples of floors!:

To extend upon one of your themes, TotalDreamBiscuit!

There would be among the floors, a garden floor. Completely open except for the roof of the floor above it. No walls, just held up entirely by nothing more than a forest of stone pillars around the outer rim of the 'room' with maybe three massive ones surrounding the stairway entrance in the center. Open air enough to let wild birds come & go as they please, with maybe some imported small wildlife like hedgehogs. It'd look pretty much like a park with a stone roof!

Another floor would be entirely empty. Solid white marble wall around it, solid white marble floor & ceiling. Nothing in it including marks, waxed as clean as can be. Except for one other thing.

Just the absolutely biggest dragon statue ever filling up the room & its gaping maw staring straight at the entrance from the floor below so its the very first thing visitors notice. Carved & pieced together well enough so that its hard to tell how it was brought into this room.                      ...Why?   For two reasons. Would make a nifty meditation room and.... for major reason to get people to ask why I had that room made just so I can respond with "To get you to ask that question."

Hmm, I feel I need a name for my estate...  howsabout... Tumbledown Tower. Just to give the neighbors something to worry about.

"Somebody just moved a house in a little further away than my tower is tall! Quick! Fetch the stonemasons! I need a few more floors!!"

  • 2 years later...

Well this is basically my lottery house:

Of course it must have a huge library. Most of the books, even the newer ones and the comics will be leather bound. There should be a fireplace but that's really not good for books so maybe it'll be a large screen that plays video of a fire. And of course there will be speakers everywhere to play music while I read. A big old fashioned desk to write at, and big comfortable chairs to read. Lots of maps and globes. Also lots of cool little nicknacks that add to the atmosphere,

There won't be a tv room, there will be a theater with much more comfortable seats and couches. It will be licensed to play the  latest movies and also have a computer system that will play any tv show or movie I choose. Of course a theater must have a snack bar. And a bathroom with a screen in it so you don't have to pause the movie.

There won't be a game room, there will be an arcade. With cabinet arcade games, skeeball, air hockey, pool. etc. A huge screen to play other video games on and shelves of board games and a nice big table to play them on. Must be a snack bar in here too. Actually all the rooms will have attached bathrooms because you don't want to run all the way across the house.

There will be rooms, more of a museum, actually, full of memorabilia from my favorite shows(of course plenty of pony stuff), weapons, coin collections, etc.

Big kitchen with everything I need to cook anything I want.

Living room with a big fireplace and dining room used only on holidays.

The bedrooms will be pretty standard but spacious with big, comfortable beds, tvs, and fireplaces. And the toilets and bathing rooms will be separate, Japanese style.

There will be an indoor and an outdoor pool with water slides.

And this. I freaking hate the trend of bare wood floors.

I would love for it to have a gaming room where there are multiple gaming consoles, gaming PCs, and games!

Why not just have them all programmed on one system? But it would be cool to have the collection of consoles lined up on a shelf.

Strange rooms, tunnel-shaped hallways, hidden passages, bright places, dark places, cozy nooks, a library, a ballroom, a pony room, and of course, a drawbridge.
