And the teaser is merely supposed to raise awareness. That is all. I've seen better teasers, yes, but the ones I'm thinking of are different in tone and have higher budgets to work with. Does that excuse the crunched up shadows? No, it doesn't. But I wouldn't worry about things just yet. If actual clips from the movie are of poor quality, then people should begin to worry. You can get an idea of quality the same way you can from wire frames in CGI. You just have to know what you are looking for, especially if you know a bit about animation and the software. Will this be a perfect representation? We all are. I'm perfectly fine with there being no footage from the actual film. Movie trailers often make the mistake nowadays of revealing too much about the movie before its initial release. Guest Posted April 6, 2017 Share Posted April 6, 2017 That new style is definitely adorable, I'm really looking forward to seeing another trailer! To be honest it doesn't really bother me that there hasn't been anything revealing about the movie itself, it's just nice to have a sample of what the animation style is going to be like. I like the new animation style, especially how the pony expression palette got a little wider. But I don't think it's frame by frame animation (or is it?) and I was hoping for something a bit more traditional... I thought it was cute. Despite the unfortunate quality--with Rebecca Dart confirming that this was the case--this will definitely get the fandom excited for what is to come. I just hope we're gonna get a proper more clear trailer soon anyway.
