Dance Magic
With the Camp Everfree fundraising deadline looming, the Equestria Girls realize they need a new plan to raise more money and are ready to try new things. Rarity finds out about a music video competition, with a huge cash prize, and she’s eager to convince her friends at Canterlot High to enter the contest. However, the girls soon learn that Crystal Prep Academy is also interested in participating in the contest. The students at CPA have many more resources and are better dancers! The girls learn that sometimes coming together instead of competing is the best plan of all!
 
Movie Magic
The Equestria Girls have been specially invited by A.K. Yearling to go on the set of the upcoming Daring Do movie and they are overjoyed. For super-fan Rainbow Dash, watching behind the scenes as her favorite heroine comes to life is a dream come true. However, when a rare and important prop from the set goes missing, putting the movie on hold, Rainbow Dash’s dream becomes a nightmare. The Equestria Girls take it upon themselves to track down the missing prop and end up trotting into a real-life Daring Do adventure!
 
Mirror Magic
As the pages in her journal run out, there’s only one thing for Sunset Shimmer to do: return to Equestria as a pony to get a new journal! There, she meets new pony Starlight Glimmer and agrees to bring her back through the mirror portal to experience life as a human girl at Canterlot High. However, while Sunset Shimmer is away, a revenge‐seeking Juniper Montage finds a beautiful hand mirror enchanted with Equestrian magic. Not only can it provide a window into another land, but if you push the right button, It can also make things disappear into limbo, trapped between the two realms! Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer return to find the Mane 6 missing and Juniper Montage acting extremely suspicious. Will Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer save the girls, or are the Mane 6 lost in limbo for good?

Dance magic:
the mane six have been doing crap like Washing cars, walking dogs, ect. but have nowhere near enough money to fix up the reinovations for camp everfree. Rarity tells them all not to worry, that she has an idea that will fix everything, and to just meet her later.

we cut to her walking around the mall where rarity monologues that she just made that up (WHY?) and has no idea how to make the money and is racking her brain trying to figure something out.
Cue a Random TV next to her announcing a music video contest for alot of money. rarity squees and eagerly signs up. The Shadowbolts (sans indigo zapp) walk up and ask rarity if she's signing up. Rarity eagerly says yes, then Basically tells them 100% everything about her idea for a music video and how she plans to win it. Sour sweet does her worst "I'm not evil, REALLY!" impression while saying how great that sounds and then signs up.

 

Rarity then meets the other 6, gives them her plan, but notes that she has to spend the money they already made on costumes if they want to do it and asks if they want to risk it. Everyone says HECK YEAH! except twilight, who does a quick calculation and says that if they win they'll make over twice as much money as they need, but if they fail they'll lose everything, before hastilly realizing she just blew everyone's buzz and says it'll be okay.

Cue the mane six rehearsing and being horrifically terrible at dancing. Sunset tears RD's outfit with her heel (on a random note, those outfits are HORRIFIC), and Rarity says she'll go get more fabric to fix it.

Rarity goes out to buy some, sees the shadowbolts rehearsing the mall (WTF?) and realizes they stole her idea for the video and leaves in tears. She tells the others about it and they try and brainstorm video ideas, with them having no luck. Rarity goes ballistic and says they'll just go yell at the shadowbolts and tell them to no use their idea. She takes twilight as a guide.
Rarity finds them, and yells at them, and then they tell rarity that they've already submitted their video's choreography, and evilly gloat that the Mane seven will look like they're copying THEM if they don't change things up, since they'll be worse at it than the shadowbolts are.

rarity goes off and cries into an icecream bowl more or less, and then overhears the shadowbolts whining that they're going to lose because they can't come up with an original song for their video and will just be using a Sapphire shores song. They also give a sob Story to each other about how they're REALLY raising money so their school dance can be on a yacht, not for themselves, and how they'll let everyone down. Because having a School dance on a yacht is TOTES important. they also praise the Mane seven as musical geniuses who probably have a great song already due to being an actual band.

Rarity sits down with them and offers to work together (The "Double the money" thing from earlier coming into play here). They all get together, laugh, become friends, blah blah blah. and make a music video together.

Well, you can't deny that rarity isn't GOOD at crying like a baby

On that note, would just like to say again that, despite this being a show about friendship, I still seriously dislike the ending where the shadowbolts douchery gets swept under the table as them just "trying to help their school" and them instantly becoming friends. I just can't get past sour sweet as needing anything but a swift punch in the mouth.

This kind of goes with my wish that they'd stop redeeming everyone so much in the show; friendship and all that, but I'd rather they do friendship overcoming Evil antagonists a bit more (Lauren even wrote that as the point of an episode, with Gilda the brush off being about how some people just won't be your friend no matter what due to who they are) due to their friendship being stronger than the dirty tricks of the Antagonists.

She took a vacation to get plastic surgery so she can come back as Lightning Dust
