A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Shadow sighed to himself, even with one in chains it's giving him a headache. He placed a small shadow piece on the free one, just until this is over. He hid it in her shadow, so it doesn't worry her. He stepped through the portal to see Maple's home ahead. As he was walking up to the house. He took a deep breath and told himself it was okay to walk in, they gave him permission, and it's kinda of an emergency. He opened the door and said as he stepped in with the chained one still in his claw, "Hello, I'm sorry to intrude, but there's a small problem that I need Discord's opinion on."

Discord was about to end Shadow but then he noticed the other Maple "Oh I understand what you need. Well what do you know so far and how i can help you."

Fluttershy when she saw this fainted as she isn't used to changeling shenanigans

"Sorry about that" The free Maple said "She isn't used to this."

Shadow placed the chained one on the ground and said, "Honestly, I can't tell which on is which. The one that's free answer my two question correctly, so I think that might be the real one, and this one is a changeling, but I would like your opinion since it's your daughter, you know a lot more about magic than me, and I thought you would be able to tell the difference between a changeling and the real one." He sat down and slightly winced at his dislocated shoulder, and he decided he'll take care of it later.

"Well I can't see through a changeling disguise so I'll ask them some questions" Discord said to Shadow before turning towards the Maples "Alright so only one of you is my daughter  both of you keep your eyes on me and don't say anything but answers ok? There are things that only one of you would know but we'll get to those. First we'll have to start with easier ones. First off who are your parents?"

Both Maples respond with "You and Fluttershy."

Discord frowned slightly "Ok Lets make it harder than that. If you where a unicorn what kind of magic would you use?"

The Free one said "Your magic, Of course!"

The other one said "All kinds of different Magic to help out the world."

Discord smirked a bit after that one "Alright, How about our magic practice sessions how do we usually do those?"

Both of them said "Theirs a small model of equestria that you teach me your magic with."

Discord thought those where private sessions but he guessed other wise now... that or lucky guess. "Alright now for a hard one why is your name Maple?"

Both of them where silent for a second and then the chained Maple said "It's because of moms love of trees!"

The free one said after the other one "It's because she loved tree and nature plus she knew I was going to grow up to be a sweet and patient mare."

Discord was satisfied with that. He knew that Maple waited until the changeling had said something so she could mention her future so the changeling wouldn't know about it. That was her daughter he knew it for a fact now "Alright Shadow your suspicions where correct that one is the changeling." he said pointing at the chained one.

Shadow got up and said as he picked up the changeling, "Thanks for your opinion, I'll take changeling to the guards and they can decide what to do. Oh, and sorry about making Fluttershy faint." He opened a portal and said to Maple, "Are you going to come with me to take this changeling to the guards, or do you want me to come get you afterward?"

"Oh don't worry about that" Discord said "not like you could have prevented it."

"If I don't go with you they'll assume you attacked me and then they'll attack you." The Real Maple said. "I'll be going with you to prevent that from happening." Heck they'll assume that anyone with this wound I've got but I best anyways She thought to herself

"Fluttershy, Dear we got this all fixed up." Discord said to his wife as she started to stir "We manged to find out which one was the real one."

"hmm... oh that's good to hear." Fluttershy said quietly "did they leave already."

"Well they where about to so you best let them head out" Discord said "They'll be back soon enough." He then motioned for Maple and Shadow to leave.

He nodded and stepped through the portal, when he got through the changeling got sick and puked on him. He was disgusted and decided to carry it like a bug and not on his shoulder. He placed the changeling on the ground, placed his foot on it to keep it there, and summoned a cloth and started wiping the puke off of him.

Eww Maple shuttered Thank celestia I was able to keep it down the first time I went through one of those. She went into a room that looked like a barracks while Shadow was cleaning himself off and when she emerged with a spear with a magical spear tip she stabbed the changeling who was still disguised as her. It didn't hurt him but it forced him to undisguise himself. "There ya go" She told Shadow "Should make things easier for you." She laughed a bit before saying "Celestia has no idea I know this exist but I use it anyways."

Shadow finished cleaning himself off, threw the rag into the garbage, and said, "Thanks, I really need one of those to help out with finding changelings." He picked up the changeling, then started heading towards the courtroom

Maple had gone back into the barracks to put the spear up but she still heard him. After catching up with him she said "Yea it's really helpful but that's the only one we have and 'Tia thinks no one knows where it is but I do. We could save a lot of lives if we had enough for the whole guard but the downside is if you hit a pony with it, It'll take away their cutiemark for a while so its still kinda a project in development."

Shadow nodded and said, "Huh, guess I'll have to wait to take one." He walked into the courtroom to see no one in there, I placed the changeling on a chair, stabbed the chain with a throwing knife to keep it in the chair, and placed a note on it, stating all the facts about it. He was about to walk off, but then turned around and placed a gag on it. Then he said, "So want to visit someplace before I show you my home?"

"No I think I'm good on going places for now." Maple said back to Shadow. "Only reason I'd want to wait is to see Tia's reaction to this changeling but I'd rather head to your place."

She was smiling at the thought of celestia's reaction. She was always confused by changelings when Maple brought them in.

Shadow was about to open a portal, but he sat down and undid the shadow magic, his arm slumped on his leg. He said as he steeled himself to the pain, "I just noticed I always saw Celestia pissed or calm, maybe it would be a little entertaining. Could you help me with this? I dislocated my shoulder when I tackled the changeling."

"Yea. I've gotcha hold on." She said trying to remember what to do in this situation.  She then Remember "I'm gonna try to pop it back into place and if that doesn't work I'll go grab a cast to help it heal." She then felt Shadows shoulder and tried to pop it back into place appropriately.

Shadow breathed in sharply and said as he rotated it, "Thanks. Hold on while I get one of the princesses. He reached into a portal and grabbed a random guard, then he said, "Why don't you go get one of the princesses, I have something for them and I want to see they get it." The guard nodded and, when Shadow let go, ran off. After a few minutes, Shadow checked if the changeling was awake and heard a door open.

Maple automatically assumed it was one of the princesses so she quickly knelt down to bow "Princess."

Princess Celestia walked through the doors she saw the changeling and staggered "Oh my goodness." She then look at Shadow and Maple "Oh... Maple I uhh... I see you brought me another Changeling..."

"Hey Tia" Maple said as she was standing up "Yea. It was easier with Shadow with me but I think he doesn't like that particular changeling anymore." She started to chuckle

When Maple refereed to her as Tia, Celestia rolled her eyes "Well uhh thank you Maple and Shadow... I'll have one of the guard escort him to the prisons... They'll Deci-"

"Decide what to do with him from there?" Maple interrupted "Yea because you're totally not the princess here."

The Room was silent for a moment. All except the gasps of a few of the guards that where in the room.

Celestia then got very angry and went go get Her sister who knew this pony better so she could make her punishment worse. Then a bit later Luna came into the room ran over to Maple and then bro hoofed her Laughing "We can not believe that you have said that to our sister. We knew we would like you Maple." At this point they where both laughing while Celestia was over by the door defeated.

Shadow flinched a little, he pretty much wouldn't disrespect any of them. He turned from the changeling and said, "From what Maple and I gathered, this changeling might be the cause of some of the disturbance. I would suggest 'getting answers' from it." He grabbed the changeling and tossed it to one of the guards, then he said to Maple, "Shall we get going?"

"Yea lets go." She said.

After they walked a bit away from what had just happened Maple looked at Shadow. "Sorry about all that Shadow, Tia She... She doesn't really like me. She wanted to be with Discord but he chose fluttershy over her and that led to some bitterness towards me and I give it back to her from time to time I usually refer to her as Celestia but sometimes I just like to bother her. Oh and Luna supports most of this so I've got backup plans."

Shadow nodded and said, "It's fine, just a bit surprised, and a little scared I might get dragged in a bit. He opened a portal and stepped through. He looked up to his house, a three-story building with curtains drawn over all the windows. As he opened the gate, it made a creaking noise, and he decided to clean it later. He opened the door and let his shadow sweep through the house, collecting all the dust.

"So this is your home huh?" She said taking it all in "Looks like you could have a lot of ponies live here."

She didn't mind the fact that curtains where closed even if it made it less inviting for all she knew Shadow liked her and hopefully considered her a friend like she did him.

Shadow nodded and said as he sat down, "Yeah, it could, but I use the space for my stuff." He went to pull his hat off, but his claw touched the top of his head. He sighed and said as he leaned back in the chair, "Great, I probably looked ridiculous with my ears down."

"Wow. You must have a lot of stuff then if you need this much space for it." She said in awe. "Oh and I didn't really notice. Things where really hectic after I got that letter about that changeling. I'm glad you didn't just kill us both I've seen some ponies do that it... it wasn't pretty."

He got up and said as he placed his ears up and got on all fours, "Every room in this house has its different purpose. I can show you around if you like, or you could look around yourself." He pushed the chair in and headed up the stairs.

Maple followed him "I'm interested to see." She told him "I'd probably get lost if I went on my own so I'll follow you around." She was really happen with this." She felt happy he seemed really welcoming and friendly. Maybe he was finally "reforming"

Shadow nodded and started giving the tour of the house. He looked to see a door was open, he closed, locked, and covered it with shadows before Maple could see in it, then he resumed the tour. When he got to the weapons' room, he said as he opened it, "Here we are, the final room, and there's your armor, safe and sound."
