A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Shadow nodded and said, "My claws are like teeth. you can't feel with them, but if they get ripped out, it's painful. The pony allowed my to feel, sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse." He picked up the pictures that were from the broken board and placed them next to the box.

"That's cool!" Maple said "How did they manage to get that to happen. I might want to talk with this person about a horn" She laughed "Perhaps that necklace is giving off some sort of aura that built up inside that box and got unleashed when you opened the box?"

Shadow said as he looked in the box, "Maybe, that would explain why it broke the mind of that pegasus. This dates back about a thousand years and a few minutes broke my connection board and made me break my claw. I don't know how he did it, I was passing out the entire time."

"We probably should store that relic somewhere else." Maple said a bit fearfully "Anyways do you think I could go back to that bar with ya at some point I feel welcome there more than anywhere else in Equestria."

Shadow nodded and said, "Sure, and I think you mean besides your home. Why don't you relax for a bit, I'm going to go store it someplace else." He opened a portal, picked up the box while keeping the lid open, and stepped through. He was hit with multiple waves of energy but shrugged them off.  He walked past many boxes, some with lids open, some with chains, and a glass cage/tank sat in the corner. He placed the box down in a spot and kneel next to the cage. Inside the cage was a swirling ball of energy that tried to find a way out.

"Yea I'm defiantly comfortable and accepted at my house." Maple said as she looked around the artifact room there where so many different things. "Wow there's a lot of stuff here." She said "I bet you don't even remember what half of it does" she laughed.

Shadow said as he got up, "Yeah, all I know is that the place is filled with dangerous artifacts that are like the one we found." He went into the portal to his house and said, "So where do you want to go now?"

"Not sure perhaps I could had home and learn some magic from my dad." Maple suggested looking around at all these artifacts. "Or I could just follow you somewhere. It's up to you." she finished looking at a few of them when one of them gave her a bad feeling

Shadow said as he got up, "Let's head to your home, so you can learn more magic, and I can visit with them." He didn't mention that he's a bit worried about Fluttershy and if the water had a long term effect or a delay effect on her.

When they arrived at the cottage everything seemed normal the animals where all here to get care from fluttershy a small area of the cottage was off tho but that was because Discord was practicing his magic Maple walked over to him after telling shadow "You can go do whatever for a while." When she got over to her father she said "Hey dad! I was hoping you could teach me a thing or two about your magic."

Discord stopped what he was doing and looked at who said that. "Ah there's my lovely daughter. I saw what you did in the frozen wastes just outside of the crystal empire that was pretty good however I could tell you got worn out afterwards." He looked a maples neckalce "Oh that's how you where able to do that!"

Maple giggled "Yea it was a gift from Shadow since he didn't have a use for it."

"Well lets go practice then!" He said leading her off

Shadow nodded and watched Maple walked off with her dad. He flew onto the little cottage's roof and tried to get the thought of what the silhouettes said as he watched for anything dangerous that might be one of his problems

"So..." Discord said "Create the terrain so we can start off."

Maple nodded and created the white and purple checkered pattern on the ground from about the house to where they where standing "Ok now what?"

"Well thats a good question what exactly did you want to do with your magic?" Discord said

"Protect Equestria." Maple responded

"Well that's simpe Maple." Discord said "Use your imagination!"

Shadow saw the weird ground and was about to go see what it was, but stopped himself after he remembered that Maple was practicing chaos magic. After a few minutes, he decided that he couldn't take it anymore and decided to check the house to see if Fluttershy was inside

"Imagination hmm" Maple said to her father. "Alright let me do this." She moved the ground a bit shaping it into something

"Whatcha' Doin' " Discord asked her

"You'll see" She stepped forwards getting consumed by the ground appearing a ways ahead she kept channeling the magic into the ground. A few minutes later there was a large Stone version of herself that copied her movements. "Hows that?"

Shadow landed next to the door, opened it, walked into the cottage, and said as he kept his leg with the missing claw in his coat, "Hello, Fluttershy, I came in to see how you're doing, since Maple is practicing magic with Discord."

"oh... hello mr. shadow I've been doing better since our last encounter." Fluttershy said "Discord said I tried to attack him again, twice..."

 

Outside the cottage Maple was trying this out she started to fly the Stone Maple started to fly as well. "This is awesome."

Little did She know discord was the reason it hadn't fallen apart yet "Yes that's a bit more like what you can do with your abilities just have fun with it." When Maple landed Discord let it fall apart.

Maple laughed when it did "Guess I let it slip."

Shadow nodded and said as he made sure he wasn't going to sit on any creature, "I'm sure that there's going to be some effects from it, and it will take some time, but I'm guessing it hasn't happened for a while." He kept his leg in his coat to avoid question about it

[Maple Bat 3,567]

"It's... It's been a while since the last time." Fluttershy said "A few days. I wouldn't disregard the threat just yet. I'm still really scared... but I think that's just because I'm shy."

Maple walked into the house "Did ya see what I did shadow?" She asked him as she walked in.

Shadow shrugged his shoulders and said, "It might be the reason, but I'm sure it's working itself out." He turned to see Maple come in and said, "Yeah, you changed the ground in the chaos version and made a stone statue of yourself that's able to move

There where stars in her eyes Maple was so proud of herself.

Fluttershy smiled at her "You're doing great Maple and... it's good to see you again."

"It's good to see you again too." Maple replied. "We just decided to drop by so I could get a bit of practice in with my magic."

Shadow smiled and laughed to himself, it might be strange, but this was more of a family that he wanted when he was young. He forgot that his leg that he had in his coat was missing its claw as he reached up to scratch the side of his neck

Maple laughed a bit "Hey Shadow Perhaps you could teach me your magic at some point."

Discord was the first to see the missing claw "Hey what happened there?" He said pointing at it

Fluttershy looked at it in horror "oh no! are you ok! I'll go get something to help you with that." she ran out of the room to go get something.

Shadow was confused for a moment and said once he remembered, "It's fine, their metal so they don't bleed. Just an accident is an artifact building up energy." He didn't want to say anything about almost hitting Maple since he thought she was part of it.

Discord looked at the where the claw was missing "I think Fluttershy went to go get something to reattach it but I'm guessing you don't have it with you?"

Fluttershy came back with a small kit with stuff to help injured animals but she heard it was metal so she walked back into the room she just emerged from.

Shadow used his other claw to reach into the portal and pulled out his claw with the end stripped. He placed it on the table and rested his leg on the table. He was hesitant since one of his claws never came out before.
