A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Shadow rolled the scroll up and said, as he tossed into a portal, "It's nothing, just a random pony." He took the watch off and placed it next to the porch, then he opened a portal and stepped through.

She poked her head through the portal to see where he was heading, But couldn't make much out of the surrounding area. "Where yea head-ing?" She wanted to hit herself in the face for that joke but decided against it.

Shadow warped the portal onto itself so it became a bubble, then he walked through the door. Sit in front of him was a stallion that was pissed. After a heated conversation.  Shadow hit the stallion on the desk and dragged him to a different portal, where he threw the stallion in and headed back to the bubble

"What was all that about? It didn't look to pleasant." She asked "Remember you're part of the guard now. No doing stuff for the wrong reasons." She laid down i the bubble "Then again if he thretened you or asked you to kill someone then that was justified."

Shadow popped the bubble onto the wall and walked through it. He said as he picked up the watch, "He was pissed that I told him I wasn't going to work for him to get his stuff and that he'll need to find somepony else to do it." He started swinging the watch casually as he glanced at it

"Well I guess that makes sense given your abilites make task easy so replacing you has to be hard." She noticed him fidgeting with his watch but didn't ask any questions. "Where'd ya take that pony anyways?"

Shadow took his eyes off the watch since it was hurting his head, but kept slowly swinging it, and said, "Oh, I placed him in a cell in Canterlot, I don't think they'll mind him being there. I'm guessing they've been trying to get him for years."

"Since you where working for him and your not proud of your past I'd assume so." She had kept looking back at the watch but then snapping her eyes back onto Shadow. She couldn't help but ask. "What are you doing with that watch?"

Shadow glanced down and said picked it up a little higher, "Just picked up a small hobby, since I don't think Celestia would like me using old magic that might be infused with evil. Is it hard to stop looking at it?" He was curious and a little worried, but didn't show it

Maple moved her glance away from the watch again and focused on shadow eyes because there was nothing else to focus on "Not really." She lied. " 'Tia lets me us my Chaos magic so I don't know why your shadow magic would be any different."

Shadow lowered the watch down and said as he stared at the sky, "When I say infuse with evil, I'm talking about the magic that might be able to corrupt the user, Sombra's, Tirek's, Nightmare Moon's and Rarity's, etc. I would say that Chrysalis' mind control magic would be one that Celestia wouldn't like at all. So, that's why I'm not doing the magic way of hypnosis."

Maple thought about that for a second. "Oh! Hypnotism without magic now the watch makes sense." She avoided looking at it "Guess that's why I keep looking at the thing since that's what you where doing with it. That it just looks nice." She grinned awkwardly.

Shadow nodded and looked at the watch to see something red in the center which wasn't there when he had it still. He said as he held it up with a confused look on his face, "Maple, is it me or is there something red in the center. From what I can tell, it has to be moving to see it."

She stared to stare at it. "Oh wait you just want me to..." She saw the look on his face. "No wait you're serious aren't you." She stared at it for a second she thought she saw a gemstone in the center of the watch. She started to space out but zoned back in "Where'd ya get the watch anyways?"

Shadow said as he opened a portal and grabbed his wine, "I was cleaning up my study and I found it in a drawer. I think I bought it at the same time as the book on hypnosis and mind control." He pulled the cork and took a few gulps of it.

Maple looked at it. "Anyways I think I saw A gemstone in there It may give it the magical properties of hypnosis." She said with the feeling of solving a puzzle. She had a good feeling of her being right. "I'd Crack it open to see what it is. It could be the Pocket watch of Blood... Don't ask."

Shadow gave it a final flick with his claw and it spun into his palm. Once it landed, it looked just like an old watch. He said as he placed the bottle of wine down, "I've never heard of it, but it's worth a shot." He slipped his claw in it and popped it open

Inside was in fact Blood. Who's or well what's blood is unknown. Maple flinched "Wow it's actually the Pocket watch of blood." She was actually a bit nervous seeing it again "This watch can pause time in-defiantly if Discord hadn't helped me beat the pony who used to use that... Well I'd be gone that's for sure."

Shadow quickly closed it and placed it down in front of him. He shivered a little from seeing a watch filled with blood. He looked at Maple with curiosity and said, "How exactly would you be able to stop time? I was just wondering."

Maple shrugged not knowing how Shadow got a hold of it. "We aren't sure. We believe that the blood in the watch is the blood of something the was alive before the princesses. I think I can still use it as well. Mind?" She held out her hoof seeing if he'd hand it to her.

Shadow shrugged his shoulders and gingerly picked up the watch from off the ground and said as he placed it in her hoof, "Just don't go overboard if you can use." He opened a portal in his scales and grabbed a small butter knife, but kept it hidden in his armor, just to be safe.

Maple nodded "Probably can't use it anymore. My magic has changed a lot." She walked a distance way and took a deep breath. She clicked the button down on the pocket watch and flicked it open. A red rune appeared beneath her and the world turned grey, Time frozen nothing was moving but she could still interact with the world. Maple walked behind Shadow and Flicked the Pocket watch closed, Time instantly returned to normal. "Well I guess I can still do it then."

Shadow watched Maple head off, then he heard a voice behind me a few second later, He jumped and pulled the butter knife out of his armor. When he saw that it was her, he sighed and said as he dropped the knife into the portal, "I need a drink." He walked over to the bottle and gulp it down, then tossed it into the bushes next to the house.

After a bit Maple froze time with the pocket watch Again. She had cleaned Shadow's house for him and put Shadows butter knife away. A bit after she had unfrozen time she got a strong headache "Gah. Ow." She rubbed the top of her head. "Didn't know It gave headaches too."

Shadow walked up to her and said, "Ya stopped time again? Maybe it's not that great if it hurts ya using it." He walked up to his room and pulled a locked box out. He placed his claw in and unlocked it. Inside it was random of stuff. He dug through it and pulled out another pocket watch, although this one was dark blue on one side and gold on the other. He locked up the box and pushed it under his bed.
