E-mail notification links broken in plain text

I'm reading my e-mail in plain text on principle, and in that view the long cryptic link URL in e-mail notifications from this forum are slightly different at the (regular) end and then somewhat longer, and they always lead to an error page.

For possible security reasons I'll only post the end segments here as an example from one of the e-mails.

The HTML e-mail link leads to (ending with) "1pbi9HAnt9"

The plain text link leads to (from same position) "1pbi8_ZG89ZmluZENvbW1lbnQmYW1wO2NvbW1lbnQ9NDkwMDExOUcCe30~"

A while ago, briefly, this worked. Now it's broken again. Apparently the format was changed and the link codes are always a lot shorter, but it's still peculiar how the link code is a different one if I view the e-mail as plain text compared to HTML.
